Summary
Through determination and a rather luckily memorized shield spell, the Whitechapel gang are able to survive the threats of the Lucifractor, and it seems that Stern overestimated his abilities. Within a few weeks things are returning to their usual conditions and the town begins to calm down. Unfortunately, it seems there are some unfinished plans that still need to be carried out.
Now one of the characters is left fighting for their sanity while the rest are forced to frantically search for a cure. A long forgotten poison is discovered in the wrong hands, a new enemy emerges amidst the old, and now time is beginning to run thin. To make matters worse, it seems as if the Lucifractor has a attracted a few unwelcome visitors.
There is a point where all luck will eventually run out.

Summary
Fire. Crazed, monstrous, cobalt fire, pulling at his very soul in ways so painful he couldn't possibly convey with simple words. Blood rushed up his throat, along with a wave of boiling nausea. A few tears slid down his cheeks as he attempted to scream, only to find that his voice had long gone away. He had only his thoughts to keep him company. Thoughts that were quickly losing hope and heading down a path he doubted he could find his way back from.
Sometimes Dipper wonders if defeating Bill was really worth it.

What is a monster?
Avid didn't know who he was. They tell him he believed in vampires, would shout it from the rooftops when he could, but he doesn't remember that. He can't remember anything, and this person they're describing, he isn't sure he likes it. Still, with chronic pain from a wound in his neck and the growing threat of vampires -- who are apparently real, by the way -- he'll need to figure out where he stands, so that maybe, hopefully, he can make it out of this alive.
