“No, Taehyun, that’s a ferret.” Kai, honest to god, doesn’t know how to emphasize the situation better than this.
“That’s not a ferret.” Taehyun sticks his finger out. The white monster hisses at it. “That’s Choi Beomgyu.”

Summary
Though he has never been in a relationship before, Taehyun has definitely had crushes before. It’s one of the worst attributes to his never ending curiosity. He gets hooked onto certain people and seeks out knowledge of them, wishing to be part of their lives. But it’s always been considered a distraction, so Taehyun had only ever spent his time living in his imagination. He would create scenarios of dating his crushes, only to be devastated when his curiosity had ruined the glory of it.
He supposes that’s why they’re called crushes. They crush you.
Soobin is going to crush him.

“Aren’t you gonna leave?” Soobin asks sharply. His lips are pressed into a thin line as he glances at Beomgyu, who is desperately wishing he wasn’t dressed in his Spiderman suit right now.
Beomgyu could, as he can’t stand the unfamiliarity of Soobin’s constant glowering and jeering. But he considers himself to be an optimistic person so he responds with, “Aren’t you supposed to thank me?”
Soobin glares at him, the lips that are usually pouting are twisted into a grimace. “I have nothing to thank you for. I could have defended myself well enough.”
“Right.” Beomgyu is unable to repress the snort that slips out. “Like you and your flailing limbs could’ve taken them on.”
(alternatively: beomgyu is spiderman and the one and only cute photographer of their university's daily newspaper. soobin is his chief editor who despises spiderman with every fiber in his body.)

Beomgyu can absolutely attest to this, because as he sees the really hot friend of the guy who picked a fight with Soobin swing a fist at him, he can't give one fuck about how hot that guy is.
Or the one where Taehyun and Beomgyu get into a barfight because of a misunderstanding and Taehyun won't leave the other man alone after. It's okay because Beomgyu is petty and maybe a little in love.

For some reason, looking at him makes Yeonjun choke up a little. Beomgyu smiles at him and Yeonjun swallows the lump in his throat.
“Hey,” he blurts out. Beomgyu tilts his head at him. “I love you, you know that?”
Beomgyu’s smile grows so wide his eyes all but disappear. He giggles, “I know,” and cups Yeonjun’s face in his hands. “I love you too.”
After the fanlive, Yeonjun and Beomgyu spend the night together.

“Finally,” Beomgyu breathes, stretching his arms over his head. “I’m exhausted.”
“You’re exhausted?” Taehyun quips, “I did all the work, why are you exhausted?”
Beomgyu gasps, sitting upright on his bed. “Is that true?” He says, scandalised, “I did at least 70% of the work, you were to busy staring at my lips the entire time.”
Taehyun rolls his eyes, “you wish, Choi,” he says.
“I don’t need to, Kang,” Beomgyu replies, “you just did it again right now.” He gets up onto his knees, inching closer till he’s right in front of Taehyun, their noses just shy of touching. Taehyun can see his reflection in Beomgyu’s eyes, the pinch of his eyebrows, the darkness in his eyes. Of course he can see Beomgyu too, dark eyes intently staring at him, eyebrows and lips curled in a way that is distinctly teasing, smirk poised and pretty. Taehyun’s not sure if he wants to punch or kiss it off his face. He leans closer, almost subconsciously, till his nose knocks against Beomgyu’s and he can almost feel the cool metal of Beomgyu’s nose ring.
“And if I have been staring at you?” He asks boldly, meeting the older boy head on, “what are you going to do about it?”
Beomgyu breaks into a devastatingly pretty grin.
