When Jay first saw the ghost, he noticed it's shattered glass eyes and then it's voice. It rang like several voices overlapped on each other, covered in static noise. It was like a scattered radio signal, the only thing that he could make out was the devastating rage in it's scrambled words.
The ninja become haunted and in turn the ghost finds a home to haunt.

Cole finds his house empty and his windows shattered. He picks up the shards and grips them tight enough to bleed. He tries to speak but all that comes out is the sound of glass breaking.

Cole wiped the cut again, quickly bringing him back to reality. His head threatened to move, but Cole’s firm hold grew stronger - not too strong to hurt him - but enough to keep him still and reassured. Why was he being so nice?

Summary
There comes a time in most friendships where two people become so close they are confused for a couple. It's not uncommon; and many people take it differently. But what Cole is wondering, why did that common misconception start making his heart flutter out of nowhere one day.
There wasn't any perceivable change between them, somehow, something changed in him. He had no clue when this had happened but Cole started noticing little details about Jay Walker: a particular freckle that lies right below his hairline that Cole now looks for when the blue ninja pushes hair out of his face, how Jay folds his sleeves exactly 3 times when they annoy him, the way his face lights up talking about electronics and the various little gadgets he liked making. They were little things that made him smile. Over time, Cole noticed he was smiling more and more.

Summary
Libber is totally, absolutely, completely fine. Better than fine, actually—the new technique she's discovered that allows her to amplify her powers tenfold has made she and the other elementals more effective than ever. She doesn't know what everyone else is so worried about. Maybe it's dangerous, but it's not like it could actually hurt her. She's the master of lightning, after all. She can take it.
Meanwhile in present day Ninjago, lately Jay has been briefly blipping out of reality and ending up in a place the mysterious voice than inhabits it calls "The In Between." It's probably just a completely harmless side effect of the trick he learned about from his birth mother's journal that Cole found in his attic. There's absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything is fine. Everything is perfect.
