Prince Argenti has spent the past 21 years of his life hidden away from the world as he dreams of leaving his tower and seeing the magnificent floating lanterns that appear every night on his birthday.
His mother Idrila would allow no such thing, especially with his precious magical locks of hair. She reminds him he's not ready for the dangerous world out there.But when a certain bandit accidentally stumbles across the tower with a crown and hopes to find his friend who he'd been separated from, Argenti believes this time he's ready for the outside world beyond the high walls of the tower.

An eccentric, flamboyant, strong spoken, and loud mouthed robotic cowboy.
Somehow, through all indifference, these two opposites found eachother and fell in love against all odds. They were perfect, like the sun and moon, the sea and tide. Nothing would ever break their love.
Untill that fateful day Argenti has the dream.
The horrible, evil dream.
Maybe it wasn’t a dream…

Summary
Boothill is just a farmer in a small town that's being bought out by the International Peace Guild who's just trying to look out for his family. While out hunting one evening, he happens across an old, abandoned castle. At least, it seems abandoned at first glance. He ends up upsetting the castle's caretaker- a once beautiful Knight with beastly appendages and armor melded into his flesh. The Knight refuses to let Boothill leave until the damage he causes has been undone, rendering him to be the man's houseguest for the time being. But neither of them ever expected to grow fond of the other...

Because (for reasons he really didn't want to delve into) everyone now believed he was in a relationship.
And with the Knight of Beauty, to make matters worse!or
5 times Boothill and Argenti had to explain to others that they weren't a couple + 1 time when it wasn't necessary to do so.

Some crimes could never be forgiven. And many, many people deserved to die for them.
Boothill receives a distress signal from a planet being invaded by the IPC. Naturally it's in his best interest to help.

Although the feeling of pain was unwelcome, it made him feel human again.Removing her tiny little hands from his hair, he contemplated the atmosphere dotted with innumerable stars. It was still surreal for him that they were truly traveling in the cosmos. Just a few days ago, he was still walking with Clementine on the tracks dreaming of the worlds beyond...

Love like that was bound to end in only two ways; crashing and burning, or in never-ending grief. Boothill could never understand why someone would want to put themselves, or someone else through that. After losing his family, love was just something that he accepted he would never feel again.
But Argenti.
He makes it easy to love, to dust off that emotion he was so scared he had lost.
Loving him? That might be the easiest thing Boothill has ever done.
Boothill loves Argenti. For a moment, that’s all he needs.
Boothill doesn't know how to open up. Argenti holds his hand through it anyway.
