“Hey,” Bagi finally breathed.
“Hi,” Tina replied, eyes darting between Bagi’s face and the sword still in her hand.
The two of them fell silent again. Bagi’s own eyes fell on Tina’s sword.
“Are-” Bagi cut herself off, blinking fast. “If you don’t want to talk, tell me now.”
Despite the fact that Tina’s heart was still racing like a jackrabbit, something in Bagi’s voice made her pause. There were cracks in her words that Tina had never heard before. She looked away from Bagi’s sword to meet her eyes again, and realized that her lovely Bagi was afraid.
Bagi was afraid of her.

Although some of the tension in the woman’s shoulders loosened, she continued to keep the gun pointing at Cellbit. “How do I know you’re actually their parents? People are fucked up these days. Especially when it comes to kids.”
So Tallulah and Richarlyson were here. They were here, and they were probably right through the door to her left. But despite how badly Phil wanted to run past the woman to grab his daughter, he knew that right now, that would end with a bullet to the back.
“Let us see them,” Cellbit argued. “Then you can see.”
“But you could be trying to intimidate them. How do I know you haven’t, I don’t know, kidnapped them or something?” The woman questioned.
“They’re our kids! Why would we lie?” Etoiles asked.
“Because you took them into a fucking horde!”
or, while out scavenging for supplies, Tallulah and Richarlyson get separated from Phil, Cellbit, and Etoiles. This leads to an unexpected reunion.

Summary

“I’m thinking the same thing, Big Q,” Wilbur shot back, feeling a twinge of relief as the machete moved a few centimeters back.
“You know him?” The man with the machete asked, looking back at Quackity.
Clenching his jaw, Quackity nodded. “You could say that, Etoiles.”
Behind him, Bad frowned. “Is he a friend of yours?”
Fuck.
Quackity narrowed his eyes. “The last time I saw Wilbur Soot, he abandoned me and stole my fucking guitar. So no, I wouldn’t say he’s a friend of mine.”
or, Wilbur didn’t think running from a monster in the woods would lead to him seeing Quackity for the first time in years. But that’s only the start of his problems, because Quackity’s new group can’t seem to decide what to do with him and Tallulah.
