“Satoru?” The word rings, fuzzy in his ears as it whines like tinnitus, familiar and heart stopping.
‘I’m dead.’ He can’t even hear his own thoughts over the loudness of the world, staggering where he stands, eyes still fixated on the sky, on the sun. ‘I’m dead, I died, I felt my heart stop, this can’t be, it can’t-’
“Hey,” it comes again, a little more urgent than before, a little closer, another hammer to his ears and all the noise shrieking behind his eyes. He recoils hard enough to go stumbling as a hand reaches for him, covered in flesh rather than empty bone, tan and recognizable. Unbelievable.
There’s something wet trickling from his nose. Bile stings on the back of his tongue. The words dissolve into the rest of the white noise as he stares up at the blue of the sky, and tries to remember if he’d ever had a hallucination as bright as this.
‘I have to be dead,’ he thinks. Somehow, he isn’t.
Or: Gojo Satoru goes back in time. He makes a couple of changes for the better.

Summary
Fushiguro Megumi is a poacher; a lethally trained hunter working to capture the last dregs of humanity to feed his vampiric clients and keep his sister safe. Megumi assumes that he will be hunting down his own kind for the end of his days until coven leader, Mahito, makes him an offer he can't refuse:
A man named Itadori Yuuji has fled the chains of the coven to try and disappear into the wilds of Japan, stealing an important vampiric relic in his escape. Megumi must find Itadori and return him to the coven alive, using whatever means necessary to gain his trust. Should Megumi fulfill their contract, he and his sister will receive full immunity from vampire-kind as they walk away from their dealings. One final contract.
But when Megumi does make contact with Itadori, he finds that doing his job comes with more complications than expected.

Summary

Truth be told, Itadori Yuuji was content with his mundane life, especially with how often his grandfather liked to remind him how evil vampires were.
“They are spawns of Satan!” He’d yell. “Evil incarnations! Abominations! You must be good Yuuji, you must never seek to live such an abhorrent life as one of those vile creatures!”
Well, he’s a vampire now, and it’s a shame he had no say in the matter.
His poor grandfather must be turning in his grave…

"That said", Yaga coughs, his tone suddenly changed, "I think there's no better way to be on an undercover mission than having a convincing and solid background. That's why I asked Mei Mei to forge some documents for you two."
Suguru takes the new folder the man is handing him and starts skimming through it.
Good references, believable background. No wonder Mei Mei can allow herself to have such pricy fees.
Then a page catches his eyes and he's suddenly confused, because that's such a silly joke it's almost funny.
"There must be a mistake", he points out lifting the above-mentioned page, watching Yaga shifting his focus between him and the document and there it is - a marriage certificate with his and Satoru's names written on it.(Satoru and Suguru work for a private detective agency. It's all fun and games until Yaga asks them to fake-date during a mission. Well, they have been friends since forever, so everything should go smoothly - except it doesn't.)
