Yet, it keeps him at bay and he doesn't know why.

Dirty dishes were soaking in the sink, half of a pot of old coffee was sitting out on the counter, wrappers filled the trash bin. A mug stood casually abandoned on the coffee table in the living room. A large, faux fur blanket—which was usually folded up in his closet—was in a heap on the couch, halfway sliding off onto the floor.
Was Stiles… living there?
As Peter neared the bedroom, his suspicions were confirmed by the rhythmic sounds of a steady heartbeat and slow, relaxed breathing. Stiles was sleeping in his room.
Something warm and euphoric stirred in Peter’s chest, nearly startling him. His wolf keened at the disorder around the den—relating it to memories of pack and home. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d come home to someone.

Prompt:
post pool scene in season 2. not sure if this was canon or fanon because I’m so deep in fandom at this point- about Claudia trying to drown stiles or not.After stiles does the pool thing of holding Derek up for over two hours, everyone goes their separate ways. Stiles is okay at first, still running on adrenaline then he’s just to exhausted to think. But after a few days he starts to kind of spiral/panic about his memories from his mom trying to ‘drown the demon’ when she was sick and he’s been afraid of the water ever since. He’s having a hard time coping with it and Peter starts to notice him not doing so well and eventually steps in to find out why, to offer comfort to his favorite beta/packmate.
