Night shifts at a rundown gas station convenience store rarely go as planned - especially when a twitchy stranger starts stealing candy right in front of you… and refuses to stay away.

So when Barkovitch told Collie to hit him he did. He now had Barkovitch pinned to the floor, his whole body burning with adrenaline his teeth feeling loose in his mouth and blood running over his eyes obscuring his vision. Somewhere between his prior gentleness and now he’d started shouting. Both of them had. Berating each other as they rolled around on the concrete floor biting, kicking, scratching and punching each other with passion behind each blow. His knuckles were torn apart and hard carving the groves and dips of his fist into Barkovitch’s cheek as his coughed up blood mixed with tears. Despite his crying Barkovitch didn’t beg for mercy or try and stop Collie. He was still fighting back but just on the offensive, trying to hurt the one above him. Barkovitch was smiling. Laughing between his grunts and occasional sob. Somehow his laughing pissed him off but his crooked smile made Collie feel warm and red.

They beat each other up and make out. That’s the fic.

Parkovitch first meeting fic that was originally meant to be hurt comfort fluff which has now spiralled into something entirely different because i re-read fight club. I like this a lot better somehow.

Parker calls it off on a Friday.

It doesn’t register as a break up in Gary’s mind. That would imply that there’s something there to break besides this weird back-and-forth they’ve been wrestling with for the last four months. It’s more of a petty fight in his mind, the same kind that leads them to making out in house party closets.

    It has to be.

    [OR Garraty’s Girl]

“Softer, harder, inbetween. You know just how to get to me…” - Lizzy McAlpine, Pushing it Down and Praying.

Ray Garraty signs up for the Long Walk telling himself it’s the only way forward. He leaves behind Charlotte “Lottie” Green—sharp-tongued, soft-hearted, and stubborn enough to love him in a world that keeps trying to break them both.

On the road, under the sun and the rifles, Ray finds himself haunted by her voice, her laugh, her hands in his hair. And then there’s Pete McVries: dark-skinned, quick-witted, infuriatingly calm Pete, who reminds Ray of Lottie in ways that make his chest twist and his steps falter.

The Walk grinds them down. Boys fall. Tempers snap. Ray keeps moving, pulled forward by memories of Lottie and the strange, impossible connection growing between him and Pete—two ghosts walking beside him, one from home, one from the asphalt.

But the Long Walk doesn’t offer mercy, or choices, or futures.
And when the dust settles, the dead are not the only ones left behind.

A story of love, grief, race, desperation, and the brutal gravity of a world where surviving costs more than anyone can pay.

This story does not have a happy ending.
