Summary

They encounter monsters (literal monsters) that they had never thought could be real. But along the way, they find friendship, love, and a new family.
An alternative universe where Sara never got cancer and Diane died instead.

Between secrets and unconditional love, they spend their childhood growing alongside one another living completely different lives.
This is my telling of Joyce and Hopper's high school years and the events that lead up to the year 1983. The events from the show will still happen, but it will be very AU.

Not ready to face him alone, Joyce comes up with a plan: if Lonnie thinks she’s already moved on, he might back off. Which means Hopper has just agreed to play the role of her boyfriend.A simple plan… at least on paper.
