Summary
With dawning horror, Subong stared at the cross’s hollow inside, his heart beginning to beat faster and faster. Distantly, he thought, Oh, right. I just ran out yesterday.
Something on his face dripped down from the ridge of his eyebrow to his cheek; he wasn’t sure if it was blood or sweat. His eyes slid back down towards the body at his feet.
Subong was suffocating. His cross was empty—it was never empty—and he’d just seen a girl whose hands were shaking get shot in the forehead. His own were beginning to tremble as his shock wore off; if he didn’t pop a pill beforehand, adrenaline had always made him shaky. He took a stuttering breath.
I am so fucking dead.
<<———< ₩ >———>>
An exploration of the games with a sober Thanos. He’s pissier and more exhausted than ever, and in the end, he teams up with a wildly different group of people. He’d made a resolution to start a new life for himself back on that bridge, and he’s determined to see it through—but his fragile will to live may crack again before that could ever happen.

Summary
Fox was always angry. His rage was in a constant simmer just below the surface of his skin; it was sometimes frighteningly all-consuming, and sometimes—a fact that Fox would never admit to anyone—a relief to fall into.
Lord Sidious, of course, took notice.

Summary
Steve Harrington dies on November 12, 1983.
At first, he doesn’t really understand what’s happening; Nancy and Jonathan are bleeding, there are Christmas lights strung up everywhere, and a bear trap sits in the hallway, poised to snap. The lights are flickering like crazy, making Steve’s heart jump and stutter in his chest, and Nancy has a steely gleam to her eyes that Steve has never seen before. It’s like she’s a different person, gripping a loaded gun with a bloody bandage wrapped around her palm.
•~•~•~•~•~•
Steve has never really believed in ghosts. Then again, he's never believed in monsters either, not until he was fighting one in the Byers' living room. It isn't too far of a stretch to say that ghosts are real, too– especially since he seems to be one himself.
The only question is whether or not he'll ever be seen again. Surrounded by people but not able to interact with any of them, Steve feels more alone than ever.

Summary
Okay, so not only is Steve Harrington apparently not a douche, but he’s also kind of a mess?
Now that Eddie is properly looking, he notices the slight bags under Steve’s eyes and how his face is drawn, as if he hasn’t been getting enough sleep. That doesn’t make sense– Eddie would think that Steve is living a cushy life, with his mansion and parents that probably pamper him like a goddamned baby. This Steve doesn’t look pampered at all; instead, Eddie can see a familiar haunted look in his eyes that screams he’s just like you.
••• ••• •••
If you looked up the definition of "fucked-up" in the dictionary, Steve Harrington's face would be plastered right next to it. After living through two Upside-Down debacles now, it makes sense. Eddie Munson doesn't know about that, but he does notice how similar he and the former King of Hawkins High really are.

Summary
The scrapes on Nam-gyu’s palms and knees from being thrown out of the limousine have faded almost entirely now, but sometimes they sting as if it occurred mere moments ago.
It’s been weeks. He shouldn’t dwell on how cold the nighttime air had felt on his bruised skin. He shouldn’t think back to how the blood crusted under his fingernails. He shouldn’t bother remembering how hopeless he felt, limping his way back to his apartment, cold and alone.
He shouldn’t. But, he does.

Summary
The cruelest thing about the Nameless was that they made it so easy to pretend that Sunday belonged. They fed that greedy, stupid, childish thing that cried out from within him, tossing enough scraps of amity for him to piece them together into something that felt like home. The curtains only closed when Sunday lay awake at night and stared at the ceiling of the bedroom that wasn’t really his, and he remembered that it started like this and could only end like this: with him, alone in the dark.
Sunday is found by the Astral Express Crew after fleeing Penacony. He accepts their offer to join, and realizes that
a. fitting into this tight-knit group is likely impossible
b. trouble finds the Trailblazers no matter where they go.or, the chronicle of the Astral Express trying, failing, and trying again to fit Sunday into their family.
