Summary
Imprisoned in a concrete cell, Steve can’t understand why he was taken, but his captor, a menacing figure called the Winter Soldier doesn’t seem to see the issue. At first, the Soldier is cold, detached, and terrifying, but things change as the days in the cell pass. There are flashes of humanity in the pale blue eyes that observe him intently. Coerced into performing heinous acts, Steve despises his captor, but his body doesn’t understand his fury. His physical reaction to unwanted advances betrays him every time the Soldier forces his way into Steve’s space. After a while, Steve loses count of the number of times he protests as well as how completely his body betrays him.
