Summary
It was an easy decision to pull the trigger. It was a little harder to take his brothers with him and run. It was even harder to tell his brothers to stay put at their estranged uncle's door before Court left. But, it was for the best. He'd be found, and at least the twins would still be together and somewhere safe. Only, the police didn't find him. Instead, some rugged looking man did and decided to just take him in.
Holland March was a terrible father who cheated old ladies out of their money. He had no redeeming qualities, but waking up in the late morning to a knock at his door, he didn't expect to find his two younger nephews asking for him and looking like they both got hit by a car. He can't get any explanations from them, but he knew enough that they would be safer under his roof than wherever they were before.
OR
Court brings his brothers, Ryland and Colt, across the country after killing their dad and leaves them with their Uncle March before running again, only to be taken in by Jackson Healy. Story starts a few weeks before the Amelia case starts.Bookmarked by atelier_ephemera

The clock is running out, and so is Holland’s sanity. He doesn’t know how much more he can take before he starts doing things he’ll regret.

Summary
Jackson Healy's life had been good, since the admittedly messy case that started it all. Sure, it had been a mess of twists, turns, and other unexpected shifts, but Healy finds he wouldn't change it for the world.
Though that first meeting between Healy and March hadn't been.. great, the duo as well as Holly had seemingly moved well beyond the whole thing. At least, the way Holland and Holly had thoroughly bumped, knocked, and otherwise slammed their way firmly into Jackson Healy's heart seemed to imply so.
Now, over a year down the line, Healy felt he was something of a March Family Expert by now, given he'd been around the father-daughter duo for over a year now. Their attitudes, their shared insight and overlapping intelligences, the way they crinkled their noses and scrunched their brows the same way- all those little March-ism's were a second language and Healy was surely fluent now. Honestly, how much else could there be to know?
