Summary
Berserk. Dion first heard the term from the keep's physician. Elsewhere, it is merely another word for intense bloodlust, and nearly always denotes an underlying condition. A hidden madness or simpleness of the mind, sometimes, but more often a deep seated predisposition toward malice and inflicting pain.
The cases that come back from clashes with the beast men are of a different sort. The men become like beasts themselves, and clarity only comes with exhaustion. Successive rounds of fierce sparring is enough for some. The rest, only Dion can soothe.
