“It smells like acid and sulfur. You reeked on the way up here.”

Summary
Andrew had come back for him.
This was all Kevin thought about as he dragged himself out of the carnage. He was no stranger to violence, but the mess of gore surrounding him was enough to make him feel a little ill. It was somewhat of an advantage, he supposed. Most of the world had been thrown by the sudden, inescapable, constant threat to their life. For Kevin, that sort of fear was old news. But he was only used to doing whatever it took to save his own skin. Maybe it made him a coward, or selfish, but he couldn't think about anyone else. It was all he could do to make it out on his own.
It would have been a lot more convenient if that was still all he was worried about. If he'd known a zombie apocalypse was coming, he would've never decided to become brave. He would never have gotten himself so involved.

Summary

Then - after years of finding their footing as three men in a committed relationship, Neil is ready to put his rivarly with Andrew to rest, and Kevin airs the thought of maybe, perhaps, coming out.
