Atsumu's terrible personality aside, he's from a venerated family loyal to the Emperor, with the right standing for Kiyoomi's position, and a skilled swordsman in his own right, so nothing's really stopping them from getting together except themselves.

“Atsumu,” Sakusa utters, causing his gaze to snap up.
His pupils are so blown out that Atsumu can't see where they blend with his black iris. His look seems just as frustrated as Atsumu has felt all these last fucking days. The furrow between his brows reveals that he wants Atsumu at least as much and yet he’s still hesitant.
Atsumu frowns and inhales sharply.
“Ya really do want me,” he says. “And ya hate it.”
He changes the angle of his knife, so it’s against Sakusa’s neck. He doesn’t look nearly as alarmed by the cold metal pressed against his skin as Atsumu might expect. Not nearly as alarmed as when Atsumu brings his mouth to Kiyoomi’s.

"I'm gonna get the new temp professor to sleep with me by the end of the semester."
For a moment, there is only silence. The next, the table breaks out in various degrees of reaction. On the lowest rung is Kita, who merely raises a brow as he drinks his cocktail. Next is Suna and Aran, who are laughing uncontrollably and sputtering in disbelief respectively. But the most explosive of them all is, of course, Osamu—his gaze positively horrified across the table.
"Of all people, really? You're gonna try to fuck my advisor?"
Atsumu grins. "Yeah, I am." He tips his glass towards Osamu. "So put in a good word, won'tcha?" To be extra insufferable, he winks on the question.
Grad student Miya Atsumu makes it his goal to get in the temp professor Sakusa Kiyoomi's pants before Sakusa departs at the end of the semester. As Atsumu executes his plans of seduction, he does end up getting closer to Sakusa ... just not quite in the way that he'd expected.

“I actually…” Oikawa’s voice is small as he picks at his jacket again and quietly admits, “I actually haven’t been on a date before.”
For the second time in ten minutes, Hajime’s head whips around to face Oikawa in shock. “This is your first date? Ever?”
His eyebrows scrunch together. “I’m not popular like you, you know,” he huffs. “Not everyone can be good-looking and asked out on a weekly basis like Iwa-chan.”
Hajime weighs up how badly he’d be fumbling his chances if he just started sprinting down the street and shouting at the top of his lungs to burn off the sudden rush of exhilaration he feels at hearing Oikawa call him good-looking. He ultimately chooses to curb the impulse because he does want another date and it won’t happen if Oikawa thinks he can’t be normal about taking a compliment.
(He can’t. He’s so not normal about this.)
Iwaizumi and Oikawa go on their first date.

ERP, or exposure response and prevention therapy. The process was, on the face of it, quite simple. ERP took “facing your fears” literally and worked by exposing someone to the thoughts or situations that triggered their compulsions while prohibiting them from doing the behavior.
Simple in theory, agony in practice.
Four times Atsumu helps Kiyoomi with exposure therapy for his OCD and one time he doesn't need to.
