Summary
The task that Marco had come inside the walls to do was not so daunting originally. Kidnap the Jaeger kid and return back to the Village. But too quickly did that task disappear from Marco’s mind as he began to fall in love with humans. He became too caught up in blending in and acting human that his fellow associates saw he was becoming too much of a risk to the operation. They needed to cut the obsession down before it grew any more.
Now Marco was lying slumped against a building in Trost with his right arm and eye missing and significant damage to his face and torso with the reminder that if he didn’t do what he came to do, then he’d be removed completely. Yet, just when he thought he could complete his job, his love for humans reminded him that he couldn't.
(Titan!Marco with Manga and Anime spoilers. It is canon divergence on a minor level so it complies with the plot for the major part. Uh, I really don't know much yet about the actual canon about the titan shifters and no one does so...ye. Making up stuff.)
