Metanoia
[ meh - ta - noy - ah ] • greek
(n.) the journey of changing one's mind, heart, self, or way of life; spiritual conversion
There's this thing about Friedrich Weimer that immediately screams uh-oh in a radius of about five kilometers. At least that's what he figured it must be when he still didn't have any proper friends by the age of sixteen and his parents looked at him as if they were constantly afraid of him exploding.
When this thing turns out to be a godly heritage (holy fuck) that sends him halfway across the globe, Friedrich foolishly gets his hopes up for a better, more reasonable life. Perhaps even friends.
But there's this guy with those smart eyes and warm smile and Friedrich thinks that, maybe, home doesn't have to be a place to begin with.

Summary
He couldn't feel his fingers that had long stopped trembling, he couldn't hear his own heartbeat anymore, his breath barely more than a thin cloud by now; barely warmer than the air around him itself.
But nothing about it could compare, nothing could compare to the coldness of— him.
Albrecht.

Summary
According to the team, Andrew is currently losing a custody battle for Neil against a sport invented by the mafia.
It’s a running joke in the locker room: Neil cares about Exy, and then, distant second, he cares about breathing. Andrew is somewhere on the list, probably below the new backliner spread Kevin found.
Andrew doesn't bother correcting them. He knows the difference between a distraction and a destination. He knows Neil runs until his lungs burn to keep the ghosts quiet, but he also knows exactly whose bed Neil crawls into when the adrenaline fades.
(Or: 5 times the team thought Neil loved the sport more than the goalkeeper, and one time Neil made the hierarchy terrifyingly clear.)

Summary
Neil Josten was dead.
Andrew hadn’t had the chance—and hadn’t cared enough—to see his body. All he knew was that one moment, that creature had been beside him, saying thank you, and the next, he had vanished forever, the way good things always tended to do sooner or later.
The Foxes hadn’t handled it well. The media nearly exploded for days, weeks. The game against the Ravens? A disaster. Without Neil—the key that held together all those people with little in common—nothing made sense.
Andrew should have been used to that feeling by now: the emptiness, the apathy, the silence.
And yet, life seemed louder than ever, his mind collapsing under thoughts that had never been there before.A lifetime passes: long, dragging, leading nowhere.
And when Andrew finally closes his eyes—he goes back.2006/04
Neil Josten was right in front of him: face twisted, pale, lips parted in search of breath, hands clutching his stomach so tightly it looked like he might squeeze himself apart. Alive. And exactly as he had been the day they met.
OR
Neil Josten dies in Baltimore, and Andrew gets a second chance to save them. Minyard isn’t willing to lose him again.

A young guard - silent, disciplined, with eyes that never lie.

What begins as quiet surveillance turns into something far more dangerous.
In a regime built on silence and control, trust becomes the deadliest weapon.
And… the only way out.
