Scott lives on an island and always has. It is a beautiful, peaceful and simple life, and he sees no reason to change it. Other people would find it lonely, but he has the forests, beaches, and petals to talk to.
Nominal took two oaths, one of which he will never break, and the other shattered and long gone. He tries to fix it, but the winds of fate change faster than he can start picking up the pieces.
