Summary
“This holiday sucks,” Klaus mumbles as he heaves himself into a sitting position, achy and vaguely embarrassed. The fucking shadow monster is still watching him intently, snarling and lunging and shrieking, but the sun is starting to come up, hazy and diffuse, just enough that Klaus can almost ignore the thing. “I’m suing.”
He doesn’t say I can’t do this, even though it’s the only real thought rattling through his skull, because it would be a low blow to say that to his dead brother, but also because he’s afraid that if he acknowledges how hopeless his situation is out loud, he really won’t be able to make himself get up off the ground.

A couple of people from the medical staff arrive then, swiftly but not frantic or rushing. Once they get to Tony, though, there will be no deterring them. The gurney rolls closer, and Steve feels a kind of fear that’s the polar opposite of the paralyzing terror he’s gotten used to. This is the grasping fear that lights a reckless fire under his ass.
“Hey,” Steve says, filled with a sudden and burning need to make Tony understand. His hand lands on Tony’s forearm, and he leans close so his face is over Tony’s, who’s blinking like he’s trying to keep from crossing his eyes. “I’m so—happy.” He chokes on the word, but only because it’s true. “I’m so happy you’re back, that you’re alive, and I’m so grateful. I wouldn’t trade you for anyone. I wouldn’t trade you for all of them.”

Tim, despite being fairly smart, found himself regretting his choices more often than he was proud to admit. Like when he got knocked out during a fight with some random ass goons because he was too distracted joking around with Dick, when he decided that drinking ten energy drink cans in a row after not sleeping for 30 consecutive hours was a good idea, or, in a most recent turn of events, when he had asked Jason to stop calling him replacement. He can't stop blushing now that the name-calling has gotten sweeter.
Or, Jason flirts and Tim might have a pet name kink.

Apparently his Beloved hadn’t appreciated the most recent gift, which isn’t a first but such a reaction over a book is somewhat surprising considering similar gifts did not come to bring the same reaction. Ra’s wouldn’t deny his curiosity in regards as to what provoked such hate in those beautifully blue eyes, but there is more than hate behind those glaciers. “To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, my Beloved?”

Which was why Conner was having an incredibly difficult time with the request being made of him.
"Sorry, you want me to what?" Conner's disbelief was potent enough to overrule his well-learned fear of Batman almost entirely.
"Red Robin is in a compromised state." Batman's tone was as stony as ever, his form looming and intimidating as he spoke to Conner. "He has . . . made it clear to me that you are his . . . preferred avenue of rectifying the situation."Or; Red Robin gets dosed with sex pollen and asks Batman to ask Conner to help him out ;)
