Then again, you couldn't quiet down the voice that told you that this was the first time you had seen that off-white sweater on him. Would it be like this from now on? Not knowing every piece of clothing he wore, like you used to do? Him not sending photos from the dressing room to know your takes on clothes he was trying on?

I'm sad to say that I won't be finishing this--yes I know I promised (and several times at that) to write this until completion, so please don't hate me!
