Summary
Before his eyes, Zhongli shattered into a million pieces of light.
It was blinding, and Childe covered his eyes in reflex. The light peeled away in layers, solidifying into three distinct figures.
One emerged broad-shouldered and frowning, with two horns atop his head that curled with amber tips; his very presence rattled the air. Gold kissed hands that looked more like claws, his white robes marked with dirt and ash.
Morax. The brutish God of War. From the beginning of Zhongli’s long life.
Another stepped out, with the same pair of horns as the other, clothed in regal finery, dark brown robes embroidered with threads of gold, similar to Zhongli’s current attire but far more elegant. His posture sharp, eyes cutting through the space immediately to Childe, lingering with an unnerving amusement.
Rex Lapis. The God of Commerce and Trade, the establisher of Liyue. A man for a taste of all things fine.
And in the centre, left kneeling and breathless, Zhongli himself—the man Childe knew—steadying his own balance, calm but pale.

He couldn’t help but stare in astonishment. Where was he?
He'd just taken a step towards one of the imposing doors at the end of the corridor he’d found himself in, when a blinding light enveloped him. Instincts kicking over, Childe tapped into his Delusion again, jumping back towards the hole he’d made in the floor.
“I would advise against standing there, the ground is crumbling under your feet.” Childe couldn’t believe his eyes, why was Zhongli here?

Zhongli feels the inhuman pressure of Childe’s body pushing him out—a second of almost-pain before it swallows him greedily, accompanied by Childe’s deep, hoarse, raw moan. Deeper, rougher, rawer than Zhongli has ever heard before.
Childe changes; so many things at once. His pretty face, fogged with pleasure, cracks—just for a moment—before disappearing behind a mask. Otherworldly steel spreads across his body, his limbs twitch, the hand cupping Zhongli’s face turning cold, strange. Zhongli catches Childe’s wrist, pushing it away milliseconds before steel claws can tear his face in half.
His back isn’t as lucky. Sharp metal sinks into his flesh when Childe’s stronger, bigger, demanding hips jerk, urging Zhongli to move like he had a moment ago.
But ah, what is stronger—steel born from another world or the rock, the foundation that built this one?
The overwhelming love and pleasure that breaks down human facades can't just work for one side, can it?
