When Tech woke up for his shift on watch, he had been expecting it to be uneventful. AZI was already in the cockpit waiting for him to continue his repairs… Tech was bound to get more done seeing as his brothers and sister were all asleep.
It wasn’t until he was an hour into his shift, and that was when he heard movement coming from the cabin. Assuming it was one of his siblings going to the fresher, he didn’t think much of it; his suspicions were only confirmed when he heard the sound of the ‘fresher door open.Only the fresher door didn’t hiss shut again, and the sound of someone retching soon filled his ears. Without thinking, Tech let out of his chair and barrelled through the door into the cabin. Hunter, for once, had not woken up (perhaps a true indicator of how worn out he was after their most recent mission), and Tech could make out the silhouettes of Crosshair and Echo resting on a bunk and a chair respectively. Wrecker could be heard snoring, which meant that it could only be one other person in the ‘fresher.

Omega is sick. Tech tries his best to help out.
Set in a post-Season 1 AU where Crosshair left Kamino with the rest of the Batch!

A rustle behind his head caught his attention and he sat up in bed. The moving of fabric ceased, and for a moment Crosshair was about to dismiss it as his sleep-deprived mind finally losing it… when it happened again.
The clone raised an eyebrow, trying to identify where exactly the sound was coming from. He glanced at the sleeping forms of his brothers; Tech was passed out in a chair, a holo pad hanging loosely from his hand. Hunter was in the bunk opposite his own, ear plugs in to prevent the noises of the ship from waking him up. Wrecker was snoring above him, dead to the world. No, this sound hadn’t come from any of his brothers. That left one more person…Or
Omega doesn't realise that it's okay to be human... or a child because of the Kaminoans. Her brothers are on a mission to fix that.
This is set in between Seasons 1 and 2, in an AU where Crosshair goes with the Batch after the fall of Kamino.

“Today is the Festival of Love!” She said, “it’s the day of the year we celebrate the family who aren’t with us anymore. We get all dressed up and decorate, we build altars for them where we put their photos and leave them gifts of all their favourite treats, and we celebrate with music and telling stories. It’s like… we’re throwing a party, and everyone we love is invited!”
“That sounds so cool!” Omega said with wide eyes.
“It’s amazing! It’s my favourite day of the year,” Lyana grabbed her friend’s hand, “c’mon, I’ll show you the altar my dad and I made!”
The two girls ran from the ship, Batcher bounding off after them, but Omega didn’t notice the drop in atmosphere onboard as she disappeared with her friend. The sad frowns, the bowed heads, the tense silence. Not a single one of the men on the ship said a thing.
But they were all thinking of the same person, and many others too.

Hunter had always been a pretty light sleeper but ever since Tech had died, he seemed to wake every few hours or so, assuming he got to sleep at all.
That fact was only aggravated by Omega getting kidnapped.
Tech was gone. That was absolutely certain and the permanence of it made Hunter feel like he’d had his insides scraped out, leaving him a hollow husk of who he had used to be.
Though she had returned to him now, Omega’s fate had been uncertain back then and, in a way, that was a far worse kind of torture.

The words themselves sound like something he’d expect from Crosshair, but the tone is…off. Not quite his usual biting yet playful wit. There’s an edge of hurt there, bitterness, and yet a hint of hopeful uncertainty.
