Summary
Late into one night—dark and frigid—Soap awoke to the sound of running and rushing footsteps, and the practical banging at his door. He was groggy and half conscious after a recent dose of medicine, but the sudden compression and familiar tightness around his hand set him back into reality. He could see Price standing by the door, arms crossed, Gaz staring at him with a smile, and Ghost delicately holding his chin as he whispered apologies into his ear.
It all struck him too quickly, wondering if was just some fucked up dream. But their faces, the all too grounding touches pulled him into reality. It was just as instantaneous as the bullet, hard to grasp. Yet he didn’t forget those specific words murmured to him, the words that resonated the strongest through his hearing aids as each one of them looked back at Soap with tears in their eyes: “We got him”.

Soap survives Makarov's bullet, but without a career ending injury and his old life thrown to the wind. It's up to his teammates to bring back the sunshine that's temporarily missing.

“We have some spare time,” Soap suggests.
The wind slams louder against the windows, makings of ice and snow can be seen moving about outside. It screeches and yells as it thrusts against the old walls of the building in objection.
“Why don’t we try to make a Christmas of our own?”
His mouth moves faster than he can comprehend. By the time he’s done he regrets it, feeling like a bloody idiot.
The lieutenant's head picks up, body shifting around on the uncomfortable floor. Johnny feels panic begin to flood him. He said the wrong thing.
“What would that entail, sergeant?”

Soap's not even sure if his lieutenant reciprocates his feelings, hell, he's certain that the man is taken. Nonetheless, it doesn't stop him from having an impromptu Christmas with Ghost while they're stuck in the snowy mountains miles away from home.

A fic told through flashbacks in the lens of a hopeless man and the present of a hopeful one.

Summary
Johnny and Simon's first Valentine's Day since their retirement is coming up, and the pair is worked up in their own ways. Simon, who has not gotten to experience the holiday in its entirety, is anxious about it; and all his partner wants is for him to feel loved.
Along with the new expectations and worries, are the memories of the past. Soap and Ghost were put to rest, but the couple refuses to let their legacy and efforts lie in vain, they want to remember those special moments together.

Summary
Finding a bottle full of milk, Johnny hurriedly lifted it up to the baby’s lips, and the crying faded out immediately.
"You’re quite a pretty one, aren’t ‘cha?” He cooed to her.
He stood patiently, watching her feed, fingers carding through light brown hair as he held onto the back of her head. Hazel eyes peered open and looked directly back at Johnny, and he couldn’t stop the comparison towards his loving partner.
The moment between them felt so tender and sweet that it distracted Johnny for a second, forgetting how unfortunate the predicament was.
or
Retired Soap is caught in the aftermath of a brutal robbery, leaving behind only a baby as a survivor, and eventually gets stuck in hiding as the criminals try to hunt him down. So a certain ghost of the past has to return to save his husband.

"i can do it myself, johnny.." ghost muttered, though he didn't make any moves to stop him.
"i ken ye can. now let me do it," was soap's reply, and how could ghost reject that? he didn't remember the last time someone had taken care of him – or rather the last time he'd let someone take care of him – and even if soap was the only one ghost had mentally given permission to, to touch him or see him like this (though they weren't even in a relationship, but they might as well have been at this point), he knew the younger wouldn't take no for an answer if ghost tried.

ghost is exhausted after a very long mission and series of events during. soap takes care of him so he doesn't fall asleep standing up :).

The stupid bit is, Johnny doesn’t even know what they’re fighting about.
But all their arguments, no matter how they start, end the same way— Ghost refuses to speak to him, refuses to look at him, until Soap’s done bearing his soul and has finally tired of trying to explain to Simon what he’s thinking.
Finally, it comes to a head.
