I write too much gen for my tastes.

This year, I'm going to try to write for 100 different romantic pairings. Most will be sad, toxic, and depressing.

    Summary

Alastor can reclaim his staff if he obeys Vox for one hundred days. What Vox frames as a deal quickly becomes something else entirely: a slow psychological struggle between two demons who have spent decades sharpening themselves against each other. Vox expects control. Alastor refuses submission.
As proximity tightens, familiar power dynamics corrode. Vox’s systems begin to fail under the strain, stability cracking in ways he cannot fully contain. While Alastor is pulled toward a closeness that feels increasingly dangerous. This bargain was never meant to be endured without consequence.

    It will end in ruin.
    The only question is whose.

    Summary

After his big plan to rule the heavens goes down in flames, Vox finds himself powerless and out of luck. With no influence left and nowhere else to go, he somehow ends up at the Hazbin Hotel — and to his absolute horror, he’s stuck working there as the new receptionist.

He hates the job, he hates the guests, and he really hates that deer-looking sinner who won’t stop smirking at him. Most of the others have already lost their patience with him, but Charlie still insists on believing there’s some good left in him.

Of course, just when things couldn’t get worse, new problems start showing up at the hotel... and it doesn’t matter how much Vox complains, he’s getting dragged into it anyway.

    Summary

Valentino has had enough of Vox; putting his own ego above his team, elevating himself, planning to leave him and Velvette, and NOW not caring if he blew them all up, JUST to kill Alastor? Enraged, Valentino rips Vox’s head off his shoulders, and drops his stupid flat face on the ground. It’s over.
After Vox’s Doomsday device is destroyed, Valentino and Velvette leave Vox’s head on the ground, dragging his severed body away; they don’t want him putting himself back together just yet. Now Alastor gets to keep a mostly immobile Vox head prisoner. How entertaining.

    Summary

“You’re dead. Are you an idiot? Go back to being dead.”

“Huh,” Optimus Prime – who is very much not dead – looks at Megatron like he’s the one being unreasonable. As if Megatron is the one who’s supposed to be dead and who's supposed to stay dead instead of haunting him like some…like a–

“Ghost,” Not Dead Prime says. “I think I’m a ghost.”
    .
    .
or: Optimus Prime played hero too hard and died saving Cybertron, trusting Megatron to pick up the pieces of their struggling people and lead them all into the future. Megatron thinks it'd be Pits of a lot easier without said Idiot Prime walking through his walls and knocking shit off his desk and asking, "hey, being dead is boring, mind saving the world and bringing me back to life?"

    Summary

Jazz and Prowl exchange a strange look, something that makes Megatron want to strangle them because he can’t decipher what it is. He pushes back the suspicion that they’ve caught onto his situation; it would be impossible for them to know. There is nothing different about Prime’s frame or processor from when Ratchet had scanned him during his forced berth rest. They cannot know about him.

“If you need an extended leave, don’t refrain from requesting it,” Prowl says after a small pause. “That was quite a blow to the helm you took.”

“A measly blow to the helm won’t deter me in the slightest,” Megatron snaps before he can think better. When he does think better, he reiterates to a wide-eyed Prowl, “that is, my helm is more than capable of taking a hit.”

Jazz laughs at that. It sounds strained.

“Sure,” he agrees, “yeah, sure. Hey, how many digits am I holding up?”

or; waking up in your arch nemesis' body is definitely high up on the list of Things That Will Royally Fuck Shit Up, right alongside not knowing how it happened, how to get back, and also how said arch nemesis ran their faction full of idiots through four million years of war.
