Seokjin’s amused expression would annoy him any other day. But it barely registers since he answers, “Min-something. The pretty one you had as your lockscreen for a while.”
Seokjin laughs, or maybe he keeps talking. Jeongguk isn’t really sure. It’s dulled by the sound of blood rushing as his heart pounds nervously in his chest. He watches his thumbs swipe off the video chat screen, tap the Instagram app instead and slide over to his messages.
There’s only a few message threads – the occasional video from his handful of close friends or his mom sending posts she finds of cute animals and telling Jeongguk they look like him.

It’s not like Jungkook goes around thinking ‘you know, I should really suck on Jimin’s ear right now’. The suckability of Jimin’s ears is not something that comes up in his day to day life (which isn’t to say that it’s never come up before, just that it’s not like, a Thing).
It’s just that, Jimin is crying and they’re surrounded by fifty thousand screaming fans and Jungkook’s whole body is a livewire of adrenaline. He wants to scream back, wants to howl with how much he loves them and his hyungs and everything they’ve done in their life together, and Jimin is just there and (Jungkook stresses) while Jungkook obviously understands the concept of happy tears, something about seeing this boy losing it like this makes Jungkook’s animal brain leap into action.
