And so, Katsuki charges forward with one goal: to make Izuku his, no matter how many times he trips over his own feelings in the process.

Izuku Midoriya stood battered and broken on Katsuki’s pristine balcony. Dust and dried blood falling off him and settling onto the wooden floorboards. He looked defeated, his usual bright green eyes were dull and empty and his signature Hero Deku smile was nowhere in sight.
Katsuki approached him in much the same way you would a skittish cat, slowly and carefully with your hand outstretched and small soothing sounds leaving your lips without you even realising. When Izuku didn’t move away, he wrapped him in a tight hug, holding the back of Izuku’s head firmly with his hand. He tried to push as much comfort as he could into that signal act, hoping that it would comfort Izuku in any way.
“I didn’t know where else to go,” Izuku whispered, collapsing into Katsuki’s arms, his body shaking with sobs wracking his already worn-out body.

Though Alhaitham’s instinctive reaction was to push this inexplicably older version of Kaveh away and demand an explanation, something about the desperation in his grip held him hostage. He could feel the rapid rise and fall of Kaveh’s chest against his own, the quivers in his body from the leftover adrenaline of travelling through what had to be some sort of time portal.
He was still trying to make sense of the situation, pulse roaring in his ears, when Kaveh’s fingers began to shift, sliding down the length of his arm until he reached Alhaitham’s left hand.
Kaveh traced along the veins there, pausing - as if searching for something that wasn’t where it should be. Then his posture fell, softening with melancholy. “Oh,” he murmured, almost to himself. “I’m not back yet.”
Alhaitham stiffened. “What?”
“You’re not my Alhaitham,” Kaveh said with a quiet, somber sigh that wavered faintly at the end.

Summary
Alhaitham had never known what to do with his feelings. They tangled inside him, wordless and restless, until all he could manage was to provoke Kaveh, subtle jabs, careless habits, things he once avoided but now unintentionally sought out. Each sharp retort from Kaveh left his heart unsteady, though he wasn’t sure if he despised the sensation or depended on it.
Kaveh, for his part, took the bait without fail. Yet beneath the irritation, he noticed the shift: the weight in Alhaitham’s gaze, the strange tension threading through silence. Something had changed between them, and Kaveh couldn’t decide if it unnerved him… or drew him in.

Alhaitham likes to believe he hates Kaveh's company, and yet he cannot bring himself to kick the man back to the sofa whenever he happens to wake up to find him in bed.

Though he was aware people didn’t know the reasons behind his aversion to physical contacts, it still hit too close to where his memories and wounds were hidden deep inside him when they would comment on it. It always left a sour taste in his mouth and made shudders appear all over his skin as rotten images as well as feelings flashed through his mind and skin alike. Nobody knew what happened to him, what made it hard for him to receive or initiate skinship. Fortunately, Seonghwa has always been here to help him through anything, and he makes sure Hongjoong knows it.

“You’re beautiful,” the words left the captain’s mouth faster than he could even register them; though, it didn’t mean his words were any less genuine.
The siren didn’t offer him a verbal reply; it simply stared at him with a small look of surprise before vanishing into the water. Hongjoong tried to watch it leave, but the dark water made it difficult to follow. Questions started flooding his head: why didn’t it hurt him? Wasn’t that what sirens were supposed to do? Instead, it seemed more frightened of him than he was of it. The pirate remained where he stood, his gaze dropping to his feet; that’s when he noticed the writing in the sand, still untouched by the calm water.
“Seonghwa…” he muttered to himself.
Hongjoong believed he’d never see that siren again, but this was just the beginning: where hearts and worlds collided in ways they were never meant to.
