Ajay didn't touch the crab rangoon when Pagan first brought him to the palace, and he never so much as took a bite when he returned and sat down to listen to Pagan's story instead of shooting him in the face (a fate which Pagan would be the first to admit he richly deserved - but then, so did everyone else in a position of power in Kyrat). If it was the last thing he did on the earth, Pagan was going to make damn certain that his stepson learned to enjoy fine cuisine in the style to which a regent should grow accustomed. It never occurred to him that there might have been a reason for Ajay’s abstinence.
