It's not like Chan to lie, but... sometimes it's necessary.
He needs privacy. He has work to do, okay? So he has to tell Changbin and Jisung to not come by the studio for a few days — he's really struggling creatively right now, and he needs some time to get back into his own groove before he can work with anyone else. He has to tell Felix that he's just had a bunch of work dumped on him with a looming deadline — if Felix needs anything, to call, but otherwise Chan isn't going to be around as much for a few days.
He doesn't like to lie, but sometimes it's important. Sometimes, the outcome will be worth it.
or, it's 6 months of being Felix's caregiver, and Chan tries to do a little something to celebrate.

God, sometimes it is so frustrating how well Chan knows him. That he knows when Felix is going to argue so he stops it before the words even leave Felix's mouth. That he knows the difference between when Felix is refusing to talk and when he simply can't.

Dean shifts uncomfortably, becoming increasingly aware of the waves of body heat emanating from Jack. Actually, now that he thinks about it, Jack is wearing a sweater. He's in a sweater in a heat that's leaving Dean near-burning wearing a t-shirt.
Okay, Jack has his quirks, but surely the kid would be more comfortable in something a bit thinner? "Hey," Dean says, nudging Jack's shoulder.
"You're not too hot?" Dean asks, gesturing to the odd choice of clothing.
Jack's eyebrows furrow, shaking his head just slightly. "No, Dean, I'm okay."
Dean nods as if he's alright with that answer but when Jack tilts his head a certain way, the light catches his face and Dean can see a thin layer of sweat coating his forehead. Jack is lying.
