Summary

I read something about "Fallout OC Week," on tumblr so I thought I’d give it a try, though I’m not sure if I’ll have the time or the actual courage to go through with it. I don’t know the rules (word limits ? deadlines ?) or if you need to be "officially invited" to participate, but I really liked the concept, so I’m going to dive in anyway.

Le premier jet de "Whispering Grass" date de 2018. Je n'ai jamais fini cette histoire, trop personnelle et trop... révélatrice, mais elle a servi de support à la fanfic "le lien et la chaine", que j'ai repris recement et que je continue toujours de faire avancer, à mon grand étonnement !
(Je ne remercie pas assez WillydblB & Liz_Pond pour leur support ❤)"Whispering grass" est un self-insert, et c'est toujours surprenant de voir tellement de self-insert dans le monde de Fallout, qui est pourtant un monde difficile, brutal, inhumain. Alors peut-être sommes nous nombreux à rêver de rédemption, de reconnaissance, d'utilité, dans un IRL que je comprends de moins en moins.
Je ne pense pas poster "Whispering Grass" dans sa totalité, puisque les principaux évènements sont repris dans "bond and chain".
Mais je voulais attester de son existence, peut-être. Je l'ai posté plusieurs fois, et à chaque fois je l'efface. Il faut croire que j'ai du mal à m'exposer. Ombre un jour, ombre toujours.😅Et pour une fois, je garde le français ! 🥐

I scowl. “What?”
“Not saying you won’t be missed around here, but listen: word is, this guy’s plannin’ to take you back to Boston with him, and Ahzrukhal’s gonna let him. This is your shot. Whatever happens to Fancy-Hat, whether it’s on the road, or a hundred more years down the line, don’t come back. You tear that damn contract to pieces and strike out on your own. You got that? Don’t you dare come crawling back here to Ahzrukhal.”
My lips thin with frustration and I jerk my arm away. “That is not how it works.” You would think that, after 200 years, she would know that.
