Summary
This is a series of connected one-shots that explores Prompto's relationship with food, and how it affects his relationships with those around him, with a particular focus on Noct, Ignis, and Gladio.
The instalments take place over a range of time spanning from Pre-Brotherhood through to roadtrip era. They're not being written in any particular order, and you won't really need to read any of the others in order to understand any particular instalment.

“We saw them in the movie and now they’re here,” Noctis says, and twists in the chair in order to press himself against Ignis. He’s usually such a bright, happy child, it hurts to see him so withdrawn. Understandable, under the circumstances, but still.
“The movie?”
“Lord Amicitia let us watch a zombie movie this afternoon,” Ignis reports.
“Ah.” Oh yes, Clarus’ first love- shitty old horror movies. He’s fond of cornering Cor when he’s stuck in the hospital and can’t escape and making him watch them with him, so Cor’s seen a zombie movie or two, or twenty. The ronin, with its almost-human body and terrifyingly human voice, would certainly seem like a zombie to a scared young boy who already has the undead on the mind.
(an attack on insomnia strands the young prince and his friends, and cor finds himself fighting to get the boys back to safety- and following the rules that will keep them alive)

“Now you’ve went and done it,” Noctis mutters, somehow sounding sleepy and delighted all at the same time.
“When you swing your sword overhead,” Gladio’s never heard such a deadpan tone out of Prompto before, “you arch your back a little to get the right leverage, you keep your elbows in close just in case you have to guard your torso at the last second, and you step forward with your right foot.
OR
Noctis chose Prompto to be his Crownsguard for a reason people.

He calls her Chibi. She's his best friend. He takes her for runs before and after school, and teaches her how to shake and sit and roll over. He doesn't mind that she's a ghost. His parents would never let him have a living pet: the food would be expensive, and fur would get everywhere. Still, he keeps Chibi in his room when they're home, letting her gnaw on his slippers. There were eighteen long candles on top of the cake, and Ignis dimmed the lights as he carried it to the table to set in front of Noct. He looked softer in the candlelight, sentimental and tired.
Noct blew out the candles and wished as hard as he could that Ignis would just leave him alone.

Summary
Prompto is supposed to attend the ceremony Ignis organized for the anniversary. For the Dawn. Noct’s official funeral, technically, since only the three of them had been there the first time around, and Noctis didn’t belong to just him, or them, anymore. Prompto promised he’d be there just before sunrise as long as he didn’t have to say anything, promised he’d stand up with Ignis and Gladio and try to honor Noctis the way he deserved. Actually pay attention to the sunrise with them this time, instead of burying his face in blood-soaked clothes and crying like the world’s ending instead of starting over.
But some asshole, dozens of them, all around Insomnia, starts lighting fireworks. Bright bursts of sound and color, all through the night before, reminders that everyone on this planet is happy that Noct is dead and Prompto’s only got two options left: explode or run.
So he runs.
