“Do you not miss them?” Damian asks, confused. After everything his mother had said, he’d have thought Akhi would be desperate to reunite with his family.
“Of course I do, Habibi. I think I’ll always miss them, but things have changed. I’m not the person I lost, and I’m sure they’ve changed to. I’ll always love them, Habibi, but you're my family first, okay? It’ll always be me and you”

Summary
“Because,” Dick says simply— softly— “you’re my brother.”
Jason’s jaw clenches so hard he hears something crack— maybe a tooth. Maybe his patience.
“Oh, go fuck yourself,” he mutters, turning away, pacing a few steps just to get the hell out of Dick’s line of sight. The dumpster. The blood. The reek of Gotham rotting around them— all of it is easier to face than him.
But Dick still doesn't move.
“I’m not—” Jason starts, waving a hand angrily at himself as he whirls around, facing Dick again. “—your brother. I’m not Tim, I’m not Cass.”
The words come out like claws. Like he’s ripping them out of his own chest one by one so Dick can see the mess underneath.
“I don't— I don't exist in that family,” Jason says, voice shaking slightly. “No one’s thinking about me. They’re thinking about the dead Robin. The dead son. That’s who they miss. Who they prefer.”
He laughs, sharp and empty.
“Not me. Not some fucked up version of the one they missed. I’m not… I’m not anyone to them. To you.”
Jason doesn't believe in second chances.

It just happens to be couple's counselling. (Attempted crack treated seriously, but tbh the crack falls off part of the way through. Then it's just regular serious angst.)

His head is positioned somewhat above the rest of his body. Stiff but gentle fingers are coursing through his hair. They're shaking too much for him to be as comfortable as he'd like. It's nice, until they graze a leaking wound and he hisses.
"Fucking ow," he tries to protest, but it comes out slurred. The world feels too soft for him to care. Kinder than usual, perhaps because it's his brain that's suffering the damage.
The hand stills. Someone screams. Jason would roll his eyes if they were open. As it is, he just prays internally for silence and drifts off.
He will come back. He always does.

The last time Jason confronted Bruce with a gun didn't go all that well, but it's fine, because the gun is for him and he can't die.

What if, when Jason sent his men to hijack the shipment from Black Mask, containing Amazo and 100 pounds of kryptonite, a third party from Central City stole it instead? Well, Jason goes to pick it up, knowing how important it is to his plan of confronting Bruce. After a fifteen hour drive, however, he runs into trouble. Justice League trouble.
Maybe this confrontation will happen a bit differently than Jason had planned.
Maybe, just maybe, his childhood hero will come to his rescue.
