Maleficent is preparing for a diplomatic gathering in the human kingdoms. Diaval is helping her dress—adjusting jewelry, fastening clasps, smoothing silk, handling all the tiny practical tasks she pretends not to need help with.
Halfway through, Maleficent notices that Diaval has gone unusually quiet.
The problem: he accidentally caught sight of her bare back while fastening her gown and has been trying very hard to behave normally ever since.
He spends the next half hour attempting to recover his composure.
Maleficent spends it ensuring he never does.
