Summary
Benrey has always been enigmatic to Gordon, from his ludicrous powers to his generally nonsensical motivations. But more confusing that any of that is what the fuck Benrey wants from him.
Against his better judgement, he decides to figure it out.
“I mean, what the fuck is up with him?” Gordon said. “One minute he’s— He, he tries to kiss me, and the next he’s chasing me with a fucking knife! I mean, he’s just gotta be crazy, right?”
“It, uh, doesn’t sound crazy to me, Mr. Freeman,” Tommy said.
“…What the fuck?”
(or: through his own convoluted thought process, gordon ropes himself into hate-dating benrey. it’ll probably be fine. and he definitely won’t have to deal with any underlying feelings that will surface.)

In the aftermath of Dora’s and Eddie’s experiences with the Life Foundation, both will have to deal with the resulting interpersonal conflicts, be that with humans or extraterrestrials.
“It felt like he was…pulling the strings.”
Eddie didn’t have to ask who she was talking about.
“And maybe I’m just paranoid,” she continued, “but even though I know he’s gone, it still feels like he…like he left a piece of himself behind.”

Summary
Dr. Dora Skirth was able to successfully bond with the symbiote her ex-boss sicced on her. Now what's left is to navigate her new life, which involves herself and her children adjusting to some drastic changes.
But Dora isn't the only one whose life has been turned upside down. It seems that those she and Eddie Brock come into contact with will have their fair share of issues, ones that previously may have seemed...alien to them.

“You probably do not think this is cruel,” GLaDOS says suddenly, not taking her gaze from the mouse for a second, “After all, you have such enormous capacity for cruelty, I doubt you can recognise mistreatment even when it is right before your eyes. However, a normal human with basic abilities of empathy, love, and compassion, would correctly identify my treatment of this animal as cruel.”
Chell says nothing.
“However, if this experiment were to be submitted to an ethics committee, it would receive full approval. Cruelty, in and of itself, is not wholly banned in science, after all. It is simply needless cruelty, the kind you excel in, that is not permitted. What I am doing is necessary for testing conditions. What I do is the only way for knowledge to progress.”
