Fascinating, deep and caliginous. A lake he can’t see the bottom of. Awful, dangerous. Destructive. He’s everything he was told to watch out for, to be careful of. He’s not locking the doors at night, he’s crossing the street without looking both ways, he’s the candy from a stranger.
this is so well-researched and interestingly written… they’re like a car crash i can’t look away from. everything’s somehow deeply in character for them as well as flowing well with the storyline. i keep going back to read it because it’s so good. i love toxic and rancid relationships i think the world is a better place because this exists.
