Summary
That's it, he isn't going to let him sneak away in the middle of the night this time. If he wanted to leave, he would have to face Katsuki first. Katsuki was done with being left without a word, done with not having proper reasoning, and done with being left when he needed Izuku the most.
Katsuki exited his room and went to Izuku's, soon taking a disappointed stance in the doorway.
“Leaving again, are you?” he scoffed.
Or- Izuku keeps leaving for missions any chance he can get and Katsuki knows it's because he's trying to avoid him. For Izuku, he leaves at night so he can't let his feelings for Katsuki make him stay. A mission on Katsuki's birthday was the breaking point for both of them.

As much as Ochako was mildly concerned about how Himiko had followed her the whole way there without announcing herself, she found it kind of endearing too. She was happy to spend any amount of time with Himiko, so it wasn't so bad if she had followed her, right?
Still, that still left one question. “If you wanted to spend more time with me, why didn't you show yourself or just tell me? Why did you hide until now?”
Or, Izuku gets with Katsuki and it leaves Ochako feeling envious of their relationship. She secretly longed to be with her own childhood friend, Himiko Toga. A turn of events may just be fate's plan for her.

Izuku continued to laugh as he was starting to be chased. "Are you sure about that? Hurry up there, grandpa!" He taunted.
Katsuki snickered at the comment as he got closer to Izuku, both of them choosing their next steps carefully. "Says the one in the ugly ass sweater!" He taunted back.

For a few moments Katsuki just stared at Izuku in the rain. His mind was full of the things he wanted to do, of how he wished to pull Izuku close or for Izuku to reach out towards him in a simple embrace(he wouldn't act on his desires because he didn't know if Izuku liked him back but also because he felt he didn't deserve for him to).
As they stood there, staring at one another, the rain started to pour hard yet again.They were standing so close to one another, close enough that just a step closer and they would be touching if either of them chose to close the space between them.
Patiently without any judgment, Izuku stood, still waiting for Katsuki's response. 'Well?', his green eyes seemed to be asking.

Izuku refused to believe his eyes. What he was seeing definitely had to be a figment of his imagination or some kind of hallucination caused by the heat of the hot summer sun, because there's no other explanation for why Camie was all over Katsuki and he wasn't shifting away from her touch.
Or: Izuku and Katsuki are best friends but Izuku is in love with him. Afraid of ruining their friendship he tells himself he won't confess. But when something (someone) comes along and he thinks he's missed his chance with Katsuki, he finally does something about his feelings.

Summary
Katsuki could still hear Izuku's voice, broken in pitch, even after he had left through the same door Katsuki was currently staring at. The last words Izuku said to him played in his mind like a broken record and the words he'd said in return were like the loud screeching stop to it all.
What he and Izuku had was something that couldn't be put into words. They were just them, and they were doing fine(he thought they were at least-). But the argument from almost a week ago proved otherwise, he supposed.
He was wrong more than he'd like to admit.
Or-Miscommunication between Katsuki and Izuku results in an argument that leaves them not talking to one another for a week. They both spend that time thinking about the words that were said and the ones that needed to be said.

But he would swallow it this time. He would swallow his pride like it was a particularly nasty pill he had to take; one that you don't want to, but would benefit you in the end anyways. He would do it for the sake of making things right. For the sake of possibly getting back what could have been.

Sometimes, Izuku would think about texting him, then delete what he had written, over, and over again. After a while he started to use the chat as his own form of release for his feelings. He would type all the things he wished to say to Katsuki but he would never end up pressing send.
The problem? This time he made the drastic error of accidentally pressing send.

Izuku can't help but wish that he was the person Katsuki is dating, but it isn't that easy. What could stop them from being together? Well, her name is Camie.
Or- Katsuki is a stubborn jerk, Izuku is more oblivious than he claims Katsuki is, and Ochako is tired of watching the two dance around one another.
In the end it's all worth it though.
