    Everyone has their bad days, but Sonic having his frustration on full display is already unheard of, however this wasn’t just a single day; rather two weeks worth of it. And don’t get Amy started on the recent “spars” between Sonic and Shadow. Amy would argue that they’ve been trying to murder each other like never before. In some cases, Knuckles; and sometimes even Amy herself, needing to intervene. To make matters worse, the Blue Blur is especially avoidant of his counterpart, ironically much to Shadow’s irritation. She never had anything against their rivalry, but this was getting out of hand. Amy is sick of it. She just wants her friends to be happy again. With Amy nearly at her limit; she decides to put matters into her hands. She may or may not have heard of legend describing a gemstone that can help individuals understand each other's perspectives. What she hadn’t anticipated was how involved she was going to get, literally walking in each other’s shoes.

    “We will not tell anyone about this.” Shadow leaned forward as he spoke, jutting a finger at Sonic for emphasis. “You will keep your mouth shut.”

    “Technically,” said Sonic, kicking his feet back up onto the coffee table and relishing the heated glare it got from Shadow. “This is your mouth I’ll be keeping shut.” He stretched that very same mouth in a smug smile just to really get under Shadow’s skin. His skin? The whole thing was starting to give Sonic a headache.

     

    Or: Shadow's worst nightmare and a fun, new perspective for Sonic. Who knew Shadow's body would feel so great?

    "Okay, if I were Shadow— who I apparently am— where would I put my gloves?" he muttered to himself as he pushed himself to his feet, swaying as his arms flung around stupidly. The room he was in was bare enough as it was, only furnished with a double bed, a tiny closet that sat in the corner, and a single nightstand with a lamp. Gee, Shadow, get a personality, he thought to himself.

    "Shadow?" Rouge's voice came through, slightly muffled. "You okay, babe? Having another tantrum again?"

    Sonic panicked. Quick, say something like Shadow! "Who is Shadow?"

    ...shit.

    Or

    Sonic and Shadow switch bodies, opening up a whole new perspective for them both. How will they resolve the issue?

    He ends up finding Sonic and his parents in an unexpected way, leaving him no choice but to trust them and let them help him.

    Basically a story about Shadow finding Maddie and Tom and his first night at their home.

    (Hints of Sonadow, but its much too early in their friendship for them to admit any sort of romantic feelings)
