Morgana turns his skeptical gaze on him. “Are you sure? You weren’t feeling so great earlier...”
Akechi watches their target for a moment longer, and the illusion of his soft yukata and softer hair dispels under his glass shard of a smile. There isn’t a trace of pain on his face anymore—only simmering, dark excitement. “As I said. I don’t like to lose.”
And neither does Ren. Yeah, they’re head to toe in yukata and sandals, and yeah, everyone is right: this is so, so stupid. Ren is so stupid. But he’s gonna climb this roof and catch that goddamn cop.
He meets Akechi’s gaze beat for beat. “Let’s do it.”

Who says you have to see Morgana speak in the Metaverse before you can hear him in the real world? Not the few hundred officers who arrested Ren in Sae’s Palace two years ago, that’s for sure.

“Easy enough--” Akira sniffed.
Goro did not flinch; only stared back with a newfound fire that challenged those catty yellow eyes. “My father is the king of this crooked kingdom.”
“Ah,” He paused. “I see why I have been summoned, then.”

Summary
[Set after Christmas in Royal]
[Rating bumped up to mature due to general themes in story]Akechi Goro decided to testify on behalf of the thieves. With a good legal team and a defense like 'a crazy god inhabited my mind and I have several ways to prove it, also would you like to meet my father', Akechi manages to wrangle a sentence rooted in rehabilitation and therapy rather than imprisonment.
Futaba, having spent a long time looking for the culprit responsible for her mother's death, needs answers. Akechi is about to be providing those answers to a therapist, in a room that has CCTV.
The thieves find out more than they bargained for when she hacks the first session, since apparently their leader had been keeping some secrets of his own.AU where the courts take one look at akechi and just chuck him at a therapist, and futaba hacks the cctv. Akira ends up having to explain his no-longer-secret relationship with akechi. Story is told through Akechi's counselling sessions + Akira recounting their relationship to his friends!
We flip between their conversations and flashbacks of the relationship! Akechi gets Real Therapy (Futaba doesn't hack for long!!)Series

“No way this Akechi dude is real,” Ryuji ever so slowly says, making wild gestures towards the same three photos Ren’s been sliding through for the tenth time in the span of only a few seconds.
“Block him immediately. That’s the most obvious catfishing I have ever seen. Also, what the hell is a COO supposed to be?”
Ren doesn’t know either. A quick internet research spits out the answer.
“Chief Operating Officer,” he reads out aloud. “Sounds…” Professional, expensive, hot, “...fancy.”
“Anything with three capital letters sounds fancy,” Ryuji grumbles.

“I don’t know.” Akira dips his face into Goro’s neck, biting into the taut flesh. Goro gasps and keens. “I’ve never—not like this.”
Goro laughs. It buzzes against Akira’s tongue as he licks up Goro’s neck, licks back into his mouth, kissing him again. It still tastes sweet. Discomfort swells up into Akira’s chest. There’s something he’s forgetting, something important.
“Goro,” Akira says, breathing the word into another kiss. “We should…”
(Or: Goro and Akira get hit with a cognitive aphrodisiac—or so they assume.)

“It was fake blood,” he mumbled, but Gavin wasn’t convinced.
“I know what fake blood looks like,”
Michael didn’t say anything else, turning to pick his camera up off the table and walk out. Gavin was left staring after him, wondering if the altercation had actually taken place or not. He didn’t feel like working much more after that, packing up his bags and heading for the door.
He made it outside just in time to see Michael’s black motorcycle turn the corner and disappear.

Summary
In fall 2039, a year after the revolution, the first class of android students are admitted to universities nationwide. Connor, a criminology major, is excited to make friends and start learning about his favourite subject, android crime. Unfortunately, his Intro to Criminology professor, legendary criminal profiler Hank Anderson, turns out to be a set-in-his-ways, android-hating grump.
But Connor can't avoid him for long. With an android serial killer wreaking havoc on Detroit, the two are soon paired up on a mission to find out what turns androids into murderers. As Connor interviews android killers across the country, he finds he may not be as prepared for this line of work as he thought. Luckily, he is able to find solace, and more, in Professor Anderson's company.
