Summary
These are some adventures of the Enterprise crew from the Star Trek: Alternate Original Series universe, beginning at the start of their Five Year Mission. Kirk/McCoy focus.
While these stories deal with the progression of the relationship between James Tiberius Kirk and Leonard Horatio ("Only Jim has a worse middle name than I do.") McCoy, they're also about the adventures they, and the rest of the crew, have out in the black.
Some of the stories are based on episodes from the Original Series, but they go *weird* directions. So, hopefully, they'll tell their own stories and not bore fans of the Original.

AOS Bones travels to TOS Enterprise. He finds the three of them together, older and happier. Friendly, even. He might want something like that, too.

It started out as an ordinary day. So ordinary in fact that it took Jim until late in the afternoon to realize that something was horribly wrong. It was unusual that Bones wasn't in Sickbay during a busy shift, but it wasn't unheard of. What was wrong, absolutely and terrifyingly wrong, was that Bones wasn't even on board. In fact, nobody aboard the Enterprise has ever heard of a Leonard McCoy. There is no record of anyone by that name ever serving in Starfleet. In fact, there is no record of him at all. And that is so wrong that Jim can't even find any words for it.

Summary
While enroute to a scientific conference via shuttlecraft, Spock and McCoy are taken prisoner where they undergo terrible medical experiments and torture by the captors. McCoy is forcibly impregnated. The two escape by jumping through a portal which dumps them back in time, to 1941, in the seaside town of Long Beach. While they wait for the enterprise to rescue them, they must adapt to the early twentieth century. The move into a cheap rooming house, survive on menial jobs, try not to change history, all the while dealing with the impending World War II, McCoy's pregnancy and their developing attraction for one another. Time is running out. Their only hope is that the Enterprise can rescue them before McCoy gives birth.
Written for Star Trek Big Bang 2012. Originally published in 2012.
