Demogorgons stayed in Hawkins. They used to, anyway. When the world is in crisis, Will Byers must run from the government, which wants to take advantage of his powers. He doesn’t make it a day before tragedy strikes. Mike will be there for him, no matter what.

“Mike, we have to go.” Will rested a moment, wincing in pain. He placed a hand on his injury, and in moments, his hand was soaked in blood. The boy stifled a groan. “It’s not safe here. Something’s gonna come. We- we have to go.” There was now an extra sense of urgency in his voice.

Will shook his head. “Nah, not really. I mean, I might have gone to church when I was really young, but I don’t remember all that well.” He cracked a smile. A genuine one this time. “I know for a fact, though, that I've never been in one of these things before. How does this even work?”

She doesn’t hear him land but she does hear the sobbed hiccough directly after. It’s a small thing, not too much unlike him. He had never seemed small to her before, not on her parents’ giant TV screen at home, nor on the tiny one her and her roommate share.

Summary
Since his erasure from Irminsul’s data, Wanderer believed himself to be safe from the clutches of the Doctor. However, he is proven wrong on a seemingly innocent afternoon, when the Second Harbinger himself appears, memory perfectly intact, with absolutely no intentions of letting the puppet wander free.
Wanderer's memories are altered, and he is convinced once again that he can be a god. But... does he even want that, anymore?
It will take many unexpected allies, along with the help of a walking blue cabbage, if Wanderer has any chance of escaping the clutches of the Doctor once and for all.
