“We should have a baby.” Taehyung's voice is low and soft, like speaking it into the universe is already challenging some force much stronger than either of them. “A pup. You and me.”
Jimin laughs, clapping his hand over Taehyung’s, pressing it firmly against his stomach. “Is your rut coming up? Hormones have you hungry to breed?”
Taehyung shakes his head. Though they’ve just woken up, Taehyung looks alert, eyes bright and insistent. “No, no, it’s not like that,” he insists. He nuzzles against Jimin’s neck, inhaling the delicate scent of rain water and honeysuckle. “I just can’t stop thinking about how wonderful you’d be with a child. How wonderful we could be with a child.” He presses a kiss to the mating mark on Jimin’s neck. Seven years mated, five years married.
“Okay,” Jimin finally says. He laughs and nods, tears stinging the corners of his eyes. “Okay. Let’s have a baby.”
