Somehow, by some miracle of the Phoenix Witch, the Fabulous Killjoys had managed to save Party Poison from Better Living Industries' clutches. Yet, he came back wrong. A shell of the spirited Killjoy they remembered.They thought they'd won, finally taken something from BL/ind instead of the other way around. But BL/ind never would have auctioned off a product unless they were completely sure it was tame and manageable, and the same went for the redhead they'd rescued.
His condition isn't the only thing the Killjoys have to worry about, though. Korse is still out there, and he wants what he paid for. He'll stop at nothing to get it.

A splash of water dripped onto the paper. Gerard hadn’t even noticed that he was crying. He scrubbed his sleeve against his face, ignoring the sting the rough fabric left on his skin. He raised the pencil again.
"But my future isn’t as bright as yours. I’ve wasted too much of my potential, too much of my life. I’m so scared of getting old, Mikey, of forgetting everything that matters to me now. I’m scared of all the responsibility that comes with growing up, I know I won’t be able to handle it. It’s better if I stop now."
"But that’s not the reason why I did this."
Gerard hesitated. Should he tell Mikey the real reason why?
Yes. His brother deserved to know. No matter how pathetic it was.
