Hongjoong was silent through the next few pointed clicks of his mouse. Mingi pictured him—lip drawn between his teeth, brows furrowed, shoulders hunched, all vividly transplanted from innumerable memories—and sighed.
He longed for more capable hands, to melt, to soften, to mold Hongjoong into something more forgiving. He craved the permission to excavate what made Hongjoong so humble yet lacked the ability to produce anything but half-believed platitudes to fill its place. How could he when he carried so much of the same insecurity. How could he, when that mindset had infested the wiring of Hongjoong’s brain before they’d even met.

Summary
Hongjoong and Mingi were the perfect couple - until they weren't. When a career opportunity came Mingi's way, he dumped Hongjoong and moved on. Fuming, Hongjoong decided that finding his own success would be the best revenge.
He was content to lead his own happily Mingi-free life as a full-time youtuber until fate put them in the same place again.
While Hongjoong very much enjoyed life without the other, Mingi never truly let go.

The man tilts his head, unfazed by Hongjoong’s silence. “I’m Mingi. I’ll be helping you today.”
Hongjoong stares—then his mouth moves before his brain does.
“Aren’t you a bit young to be working as a piercer?”
There’s a beat of silence.
Then, slowly, sweetly, the man smiles.
“And aren’t you a bit small to have so many piercings?” Mingi rakes a hand through his hair in a roguish gesture that should not be as attractive as it is, sharp eyes trailing the length of Hongjoong’s body. He cocks his head. “You’re gonna run out of surface area soon.”
Hongjoong bristles.
Hongjoong just wants to get this stupid piercing out before—heaven forbid—his ear decides to take matters into its own hands and fall right off.
He didn't expect to walk out of the studio with two new piercings, a tattoo and a giant baby chick of a boyfriend.

“Well, you certainly can’t blame me for hoping, can you?” Aventurine lets out a short laugh, making sure to keep his tone light. “Rest assured, though, that I am willing to do whatever it takes for you to trust me. Just name your price.”
“Even if I asked you to get on your knees and beg?”
The words come out so easily, so casually that Aventurine almost doesn’t process them at first. When he does, he barely manages to keep his mouth from falling open, and it’s by some miracle that he catches his eyebrows before they fly right off his forehead.
So Sunday likes to feel big and powerful. Go figure.
Aventurine gets that bread and gives some head, not necessarily in that order.
