Summary
“The fuck?” Ed manages, instantly getting his foot stuck in a nearby bucket.
“Sh-shh!” Stede pushes two fingers against his lips to shut him up.
Ed goes still and a bit cross-eyed, staring down at the hand on his mouth. Stede moves it away, with a mouthed “sorry!” focusing intently on the sounds outside the shed instead.
In the alley, hurried steps and shouting voices rush past; they catch fragments of: “Where the fuck did they go then?” or “Keep looking!” and even “The short one looks like a bloody birthday cake, how do you lose that—”

Summary
She is not the Slayer and he is not the Slayer’s Watcher, but their roles are almost as old as human civilisation and they fall into them without even truly having to try. She kills twenty or thirty vamps a night, and he stands at her shoulder, twisting cheesewire between his fingers that he’s cursed with a spell five centuries old, a stake in his belt and blood between his teeth.
Joan Watson is a Slayer, and Sherlock Holmes is her Watcher.

The simplest and most understandable way I have ever heard intimacy described is by breaking the word down: in to me see. That is what intimacy is about - allowing another person to see into us, sharing who we are with another person. - Robert Burney

Jim’s brain burst into a white, consumptive flame. They were kissing. His Sherlock and that bottom-dreg, half-human, furry-arsed sea-slug were locking lips in the middle of the club, and it was too much to bear.
Jim Moriarty's terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad, Friday night.

Smaug and Gollum have relationship problems.
First of all Smaug won't pay attention to Gollum while he's trying to talk about his Precious.
Secondly Gollum doesn't appreciate the piles of gold Smaug won for him.
They decide to take a break so Gollum moves to the Misty Mountains which is where Bilbo finds him complaining to himself about his lazy dragon boyfriend who can't even be bothered to pull himself out of his gold-coma long enough to have a decent conversation... about the Precious.

“He’s an asshole,” Stiles huffed. Liam snorted, and resolved to take Stiles’ character review with a grain of salt. Stiles wasn’t exactly pleasant all the time, either.
Where Isaac comes back to visit everyone's favorite alpha and Liam's maybe kind of jealous except no he's not because he and Scott have a strictly platonic werewolf mentor relationship.
