Until now.
He’s not entirely sure where this incessant need to read the letter once more has come from. All he knows is that Hotch had said something that rang familiar and he would not rest until he could ascertain the exact source of where he had heard it first.

Spencer Reid is determined to spent his Christmas Eve bent over a cold case file at his desk in Quantico. The office was supposed to be empty, everyone at home with loved ones. Spencer hadn't expected Aaron Hotchner to be there. Both secretly relieved at the aspect of having company decide to make their best out of their Christmas eve locked away in Aaron's office, power outage and all.
And who knows? Maybe some Christmas magic would finally make all of their (secret) dreams come true.

"You're the first person who actually meant it, I think." He said quietly as we entered the elevator.
I looked at him in mild shock. "No."
"Shut up." He said as he looked away.
I shake my head. "Can't stand you, you bugger." I said half-heartedly.
He smiled.
