"No it's not!" Which—okay—fair enough, it didn't feel very okay to Jonathan either, but he was so out of his depth right now. He'd comforted Will countless times, he'd comforted Nancy, El. Hell, he'd even comforted Mike a bunch of times when he was younger.
A lot younger.
He'd comforted Mike over a broken crayon, or a scraped knee, or Will being sick and not being able to go to school for a week—that one had required a lot of comforting—but that had been a long time ago and those were all just silly, trivial things kids cried over. Now Mike was crying on a dirty bathroom floor, blood tainting his arms, and Jonathan couldn't just give him a new yellow crayon to make him feel better anymore.

Hand over mouth.
He breathes slowly, trying to make as little noise as possible. Crawling further into the corner he is sitting in, hugging a hammer to his chest. Someone knocks on the door, and he flinches, but picks himself up quickly. He does not intend to open. Knows that it makes no difference either way. His wildly staring gaze refuses to leave the red, old-fashioned telephone that stands opposite him in the corridor outside his bedroom.
He takes a deep breath and waits for the door to give way. Waiting for the bang, but it never comes. Instead, a loud, piercing sound.
Tears well up in his eyes.
The phone rings.

“Did I do something wrong?” Mike questions, mouth twisted in a frown, eyes less wide than they were a few moments ago, sleepiness gone. His arms stay at his sides, although his fingers fiddle with his sleeves. “What did I do wrong?”
Will frowns back. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Mike doesn’t look like he believes him. Will doesn’t blame him. “Then why do you keep leaving?”
The world ends, and then some. Mike and Will find each other again, amidst the debris and distance.

“None of that made any sense at all,” Sabrina laughs, even as she hugs him closer. His speech was stilted but genuine, meaning spilling out between words that aren’t quite right for what he’s trying to tell her, but she knows. She knows just like he does.

“Good,” Will echoes, feeling at a loss for what to say, but it doesn’t seem to matter when Mike’s grin only widens, and then his hands are on Will again, like they always seem to be, lately, and Will has no protests when they’re only a few inches away from each other.
Mike has been acting strange, and, if Will didn't know any better, he'd almost think Mike was flirting with him.

Nancy doesn’t know how long they stand there, making out in the kitchen like a couple of horny teenagers (which, she supposes, they technically are—she’s not twenty until next year and Robin’s only just turned nineteen). It’s long enough for their kisses to turn desperate, for Robin’s lips to move from her mouth to her neck, nipping and biting just light enough to avoid leaving a mark, for her hands to move upwards under Nancy’s shirt, carefully tracing the bottom of her bra. Long enough for Nancy to weave her fingers into Robin’s hair, pulling her closer, for her free hand to travel to the waistband of Robin’s jeans, scratching gently over the skin just above it.
Long enough that Nancy’s senses are overwhelmed by Robin enough for them to miss the footsteps coming up the stairs.

Max and Lucas seemed to be the only ones on neutral grounds. Well, is it neutral if they agree more with the others than with him? He just wanted a moment of peace so he can try and solve one thing before moving on to the next and then the next, was that too much to ask?
Apparently, it was because now he was stuck in a room with his friends about to watch something he didn't want to talk about. Ever.

Completely destroyed and emotionally distraught he finds a way to help numb the pain with a blade to his skin, which quickly becomes a bad habit yet a necessary one in Hiro's eyes. He doesn't know how else to make it go away, but it turns out Baymax will not stop until he finds a solution.
