Summary
Merlin’s always been attuned with his magical side since birth. Hunith fears for his safety and sends him to her eccentric half brother-in-law, Gaius, a professor at Hogwarts. Meanwhile during his stay, Merlin meets all sorts of magical beasts, beings, and spirits. After helping Merlin contain his magic, Gaius retires to become a wand maker as Merlin decides to rejoin the muggle world. Gaius turns Abies into a tree nursery and sanctuary for magical beasts. Any materials he is unable to grow or harvest, he requests from overseas. Merlin joins Gaius in his tranquil home once again after college.
Meanwhile, in the wizarding world, evil strikes at the root and core of magic-–wands. Arthur Pendragon, the youngest Auror in British wizarding history, seeks his former professor, Gaius, in hopes of answering some questions. When most of the manufactured wands in question point towards Gaius as the criminal, Arthur and Merlin must work together to clear Gaius’ name and discover what is happening in Abies and to the magical creatures of the wizarding world.
