Summary
It comes upon him suddenly, the feeling. It sits cold on his skin and won’t let him go, snaking up his legs and up through his stomach, higher and higher. It is uncomfortable, and he dislikes anything that causes this kind of discomfort, but it will not pass from him, no matter how much good red wine he drinks, or how many other pleasures he takes to sate it. Ištván Tóth can feel the weight of death on his chest, and he cannot shake it.
Or; Ištván comes to confession.

Summary
Enver Gortash looked at the world and saw possibility. Businesses could be made more profitable; policies could be more persuasive. Above all, he prided himself on his ability to forge something raw and unpolished into something useful, something valuable, something worthy.
He enjoyed tinkering with metal and smokepowder, with glass and resin. His favorite material, however, was people.
Enver Gortash meets a young tiefling named Karlach and decides to make her into something stronger.
A 10x100 drabble sequence. Written for Gortash Week 2026 (Prompt: Street Rat).

Summary
"Bad luck, friend," Josef tuts. "Looks like the job's yours, Martin."
"Looks like," Martin echoes, nonplussed. "Where is the lordling, then? I'll not keep him."
"Down in the lower castle, most like. That's where he always goes home to roost. And good luck, man. He may be little, but he has a mouth on him."
A visit to Rattay results in an unexpected job for the Skalitz smith Martin.

Summary
Freckles on his shoulders, an old scar just under the collarbone from a wound Henry wasn’t there to defend him from, once. More lost details, more differences, more that persists only in Henry’s mind. Oh, to capture this, to sculpt or carve it. To be able to hold it in his hand with such pressure that it breaks the skin. To absorb it and let it absorb him.
Hans carves Henry a wooden figure of himself. Through blood and killing and stealing and coming home, it becomes the only real thing.

Summary
Hans is rapidly starting to hate Ruthard Palace. He’s sick of staring at nothing but the Ruthard’s dour decorative choices, the same miserable colours and motifs in Kuttenberg that he’d had plenty of time to grow weary of in Maleshov. He’s sick of not being able to say this with the would-be scion of the Ruthards somehow always within earshot, lest he cause offence. He's sick of Brabant, who he’s now spent far too much time with and has heard every one of his stories at least twice. He’s sick of Žižka and Hynek cutting him out of conversations, out of decisions, out of his rightful place at the table.
He’s been here for barely three days, but if he has to remain within these four walls for even ten minutes more, he’s going to lose his mind.
Henry co-ordinates a jailbreak to give Hans a small reprieve from his effective house arrest, and Hans gets a glimpse into what Henry was doing in Kuttenberg while he was being held in Maleshov.
