Summary
Your life is perfect. The butcher shop your daddy left you has never been busier. At home, you have two little girls with a third on the way. You are also with the man you love most: Joel Miller. A little strange sometimes, but still yours. The only thing that truly bothers you is the trips he takes once a month to sell wood. No questions answered, nor explanations given, but his returning makes it all worth it.
But then things start to go awry. Farmers wake up to bloody fields, and a hunter and his daughter ask for any information about something with glowing eyes that walks on two legs. I'm telling you guys, when I say this fic is AMAZING; it's twenty times better. I've never been more motivated to write a fake dating-to-lovers fic before, but this one did it for me. The way that both Samira and Jack are their own characters outside of the relationship is so so good. It really puts it into perspective how much it affects their situation. Can't wait to see how it ends!!
