Summary
"You’re a real spitfire, y’know?" Heisenberg says. "Whatever you’ve got in those veins—that’s real. That’s power. It’s a good start, but Miranda’s got that in droves. We go up against her, we’re gonna need a fucking juggernaut. You see what I’m saying?”
Your head aches. Your pulse stutters, weak and thready in your ears. “I’m the juggernaut?” you manage to croak.
He snorts. “Not even close, kid. But with a few upgrades, you could be.”
“Won’t work,” you mumble. “Just—lemme go.”
A pause. You’re not delusional enough to believe he’s considering the request, but that doesn’t lessen the horror that curdles beneath your skin when he asks, “Say, you ever been beheaded?”
Or: You experience firsthand the unparalleled horror of "science" à la Heisenberg. Also, you meet a really foul-smelling fish guy.

Summary
“I walked here from the castle,” you recount, massaging your temples. Your head aches. “Then… hit a wire. Something exploded.”
“Mm, that one’s on me,” Angie chirps, unapologetic.
Anger surges in your chest as the memory returns to you in flashes. “It was a fucking nail bomb.”
Angie does a strange, full-bodied shiver. “Did it hurt?” She sounds positively giddy.
“Fuck you. I’m filthy.”
Or: Hijinks (ft. Angie), making up (ft. Daniela), and ??? (ft. the Duke).

Summary
You shuffle backward. Your heartbeat pounds in your ears. Your eyes scan the room frantically. Where the fuck is she?
You don’t hear buzzing. You don’t hear wings. Then you feel it—an icy chill slithering down your spine. On its heels, a rich scent tickles your nostrils. Cardamom, you think, and something woodsy. And… is that your blood, or someone else’s?
“You know,” Lady Dimitrescu states from right behind you, “we have a strict dress code.”
Your blood turns to ice. Fuck.
Or: How many balustrades does a girl have to break to get some alone time with Lady D around here?

Summary
“Perhaps I will." Spec. Blu-ji scribbles a note in the margin. "And why did your partner bring you here?”
Lin averts their gaze. Were their skin any lighter, Spec. Blu-ji is quite sure they’d be sporting a visible blush. “We don’t… have sex… often.”
The candor, while appreciated, is not unexpected. To be sure, he glances at his timepiece. Yes, the second dose has surely solubilized. “Oh? Tell me more about that.”
Or: Lin is a repressed Terran suffering from hypoactive arousal. Fortunately, their partner had the good sense to send them to Acebrake, where licensed professionals can give them all the help they need.

Summary
“Something’s wrong with Dani,” Angie announces.
Donna speaks through the cadou, always has, so Angie’s not disappointed when she’s met with silence. Upstairs, it’s anything but quiet: So you’ve said. Donna’s words come out so smooth and rhythmic up there. They’re like music.
“She stole all your paper.” Angie crosses her arms and huffs, like she’s pissed. Which she is. “She’s still writing. Says she’s gotta make the ‘perfect letter,’ whatever that means.”
At that, there’s a brief pause in Donna’s movements. It’s slight, but there. She already… used all the paper she came with?
It’s not easy to surprise Donna. Angie would know. “Yeah. Recycling needs to be taken out, by the way.”
Or: Angie's a simple doll with a clear purpose—protect Donna. It's gotten complicated since Miranda, though. That new pet isn't helping matters either.

Summary
“The flowers are lovely, Rhaenyra. More importantly, they send the right message." It’s a reminder—to Rhaenyra, to herself—that the gesture wasn’t for her, not truly.
“But you are not fond of them.”
Gods above. “No, I am not,” Mysaria admits.
Silence on the other end. She can almost see the other woman’s pout.
With an eye roll, Mysaria caves. “I’m fond of tea. And wine, but nothing expensive, please.”
Rhaenyra hums, clearly pleased with herself. “The films did not prepare me for a woman like you, Mysaria Saho.”
Or: Courting is hard. Fake courting is also hard. Fortunately, Rhaenyra's not in this fight alone.

Summary
Cassandra grabs the knife handle. Twists it. Grins at the way you shriek until she stops. “If you hurt a hair on Dani’s head, I will pull your heart out through your fucking throat. Think you can heal that, mutt?”
“Daniela’s a big girl,” you manage between strained breaths, blinking rapidly to clear the static from your vision. “If I fucked up” —which you did, your brain unhelpfully adds— “then—”
“You did!” Cassandra yanks the knife out without warning. Agony follows, tearing a hoarse yell from your throat. “What do you get from this, huh? Just wanted to fuck her, is that it? Make her believe you actually liked her?”
You’re half delirious at this point, but you wonder if you’re no longer just talking about Daniela.
Or: You're pulling some avoidant bullshit on Daniela (put a pin in that; we'll get to it), which puts you in Cassandra's crosshairs. Things with Bela have never been better, though. Silver lining?

Summary
“I assume you have a plan.”
Rhaenyra’s gaze darts to her, then back to the road ahead. “I have… outlines of a plan.”
Oh, good. “And this plan involves courting me.”
It’s not a question, but Rhaenyra nods. “If I, you know” —a pause, and Mysaria doesn’t need night vision to know that Rhaenyra’s blushing to the roots of her hair— “claim you, then, well... Aegon can’t.” The poor woman sounds like she’s on the verge of imploding.
Mysaria elects to be merciful. “We’ll have to be thorough,” she muses, ignoring the sharp intake of breath she hears from Rhaenyra—as though she doesn’t dare believe what Mysaria is saying. “My network is vast, but your family’s is a close second.”
“Does that mean—?”
“Yes, Rhaenyra Targaryen. You may court me.”
Or: Sometimes, you have to convince an entire city you're already swapping spit with one Targaryen just to avoid being wed to another. Mysaria is no stranger to playing the part, but this time around, her co-star appears particularly keen. How odd...

Summary
Bela straightens. “It’s fine. I’ll come back later.” With that, she turns on her heel and makes for the door.
You don’t know what comes over you. “Oh, come on,” you gripe. “You’re not serious.” It’s too early to be picking fights, but her behavior is ridiculous. She’s acting like a child.
She stops. Turns. Opens her mouth like she has something to say, then seemingly thinks better of it.
“This room is big enough for two of us.”
Or: Bela likes music, which is awesome, because so do you! Also, a much anticipated reunion with Daniela.

Summary
“She’s a child,” Lady Dimitrescu repeats, “and she’s been here for all of a month.”
Heisenberg huffs. “Whatever. She’s barely house-trained. How do you expect to keep her on a leash?”
Lady Dimitrescu, sounding utterly incensed, hisses, “That is none of your concern, you odious little man.”
“‘None of my concern’? It concerns all of us, you super-sized bitch!”
Death wish indeed.
Or: The lords are kind of stressed, but they're not making it anyone else's business, which is uncharacteristically cool of them. Meanwhile, dynamics continue to develop with each of the three sisters. It's going well, mostly.

“Hey, kitty cat,” Cassandra croons. “You forgot to thank me.”
“For what?”
“Nursing you back to health.”
“You didn’t—” you stop yourself mid-sentence, knowing it makes no difference. “Thank you.” It’s said through gritted teeth, which she seems delighted by. Asshole.
Or: A brief chat with the Duke, some progress on the Daniela front, and more violent face-mashing (ft. Cassandra).

Summary
No one else knows how tender Zoidberg’s ink glands get after an ink-spraying episode. No one else knows how Hubert craves the sensation of tentacles massaging soothing cream between his cheeks whenever his hemorrhoids flare up. No one else knows that despite having his heart removed several decades ago, Hubert is by no means heartless, and Zoidberg no longer has three hearts to speak of. (You do the math.)
So when he’s freshly molted—all wide-eyed, petal-pink, and achingly sensitive—Hubert knows exactly what to do. He throws together a suicide mission—ahem, he means “normal delivery”—in record time, and promptly sends the crew (sans Zoidberg) to
their deathssee it through.Or: Hubert loves it when Johnny molts—and he is never afraid to show him just how much.

During the physical assessment, it’s more of the same: pets and scritches and strokes that feel as patronizing as they do delectable.
He even coos as his foredigits—fingers—graze their abdomen, clearly pleased with what he finds there. Foolish Triterran. Didn’t he see the reading on the weighing machine? The gasp he lets out when he reads out the measurement is humiliating. “Look at you! So big!”
Destra feels their tail lash in irritation.
Or: Destra visits a Triterran doctor!

Summary
That’s when it hits her. The smell registers first. You see her nostrils flare and her pupils dilate. Then her gaze dips lower, lower, lower… “Human! You’re hurt?” Without waiting for an answer, she tears open your shirt. Buttons go flying.
Together, you stare at the mess of sliced-up skin, how it oozes around blood-stained shards.
“Daniela…” you warn.
“Smells so g-good.”
Honestly. You’re not sure why you bother.
Or: Daniela's turn!

Summary
“Come here.”
Bela does. She sighs with relief when Donna’s hands settle above her hips. They’re close, close enough that Bela’s stiff nipples brush the thin wool of Donna’s dress on every inhale. Bela’s hands twitch at her sides, aching to touch.
She won’t. She can’t, not yet.
Donna’s in control. She knows what to do. That’s how this works. Bela strips herself bare and takes the plunge, trusting that Donna will pull her back before she drowns.
Or: Bela lost control, and she's having a lot of feelings about it.

Summary
You do find it sort of funny that she’d trust Bela with this task. There’s a part of you that aches to keep pushing her until something breaks. She’s so subdued all of the time, so in control.
You watch with amusement as she edges closer, scalpel in hand, like she’s about to defuse a bomb. “I won’t bite,” you tell her.
“Quiet,” she hisses.
Or: Doctors are hard to come by, but never fear! Lady Beneviento owns plenty of scalpels.

Summary
“You ever hear that phrase, ‘an eye for an eye’?” Cassandra’s expression is crazed, utterly bestial. “You think you can heal an eye, pet?” Her tone is feverish, strained with a confusing—and unfortunately arousing—blend of venom and exhilaration.
You look at the blade, then back at her. “I don’t know,” you whisper.
Or: Let the games begin!

Summary
“Someone’s been holding out on us,” Lady Dimitrescu mused, more to herself than to anyone else.
“M-My lady," you sputtered, "I can explain—”
“Please, Mamă, can we keep her?” Daniela wheezed, sounding almost mad with frantic energy. “Best toy, won’t break, can’t kill—”
“This is not a daycare, Daniela dearest.”
“It would keep her body count down,” Bela said tentatively. “Cassandra’s, too.” At her mother’s reproachful glower, she wilted and said nothing more.
Or: New maids are far from uncommon at Castle Dimitrescu. Your origins, however, are of particular interest. You bring something unique to the table, you see—a quality less befitting a maid, but perhaps... something else.

Summary
She adds another rule soon after. It’s simple, but firm.
Rule 3: Cool it, Romeo.
Their debut comes and goes, and somehow it’s everything and nothing like what Zoey thought it would be. It’s intoxicating and electric and she can’t believe they’re doing it, but it pales in comparison to the way her heart clenches when Mira and Rumi are close enough to touch.
Zoey lit the match. It’s her fault, really. Fires grow fast if you feed them enough, and this one’s no exception. It’s too late now. It’s too damn big for her to do a thing about it, even if she wanted to.
Which, incidentally, is the other problem: She really, really doesn’t want to.
Or: Zoey likes writing lists. They help her make sense of things in the world around her, which is precisely what she needs when this weird, mystical blue barrier starts showing up whenever she sings. It's called the Honmoon, and evidently, Zoey is one of its chosen protectors. On the plane to Seoul, she begins drafting a new list for Zoey 2: Electric Boogaloo. She's never had a fresh start before, and she's determined to make the most of it.
