Imogen thought she must be a fool when she ignored her own instincts’ pleas for her to run. The person (creature?) before her hadn’t exactly taken on a welcoming appearance. Fingertips- now talons- dripped black ichor and sharp, mangled ribs tore their way through the tattered dress that still hung loosely from her form. Imogen wondered for a moment if this would be her end; perhaps she’d found some sort of siren, luring her in with a beautiful song. She would find it terrifying, indeed, if she didn’t know better. Couldn’t hear the flood of thoughts coming from the stranger’s mind.
“What a shame- Perhaps I’m just not meant to enjoy such beautiful things-”
The words carried a tune with them still- though barely perceptible now. It was soft and lilting, laced with disappointment and… fear?
